Roselyn whispered,"This land isn't worth much. Vanessa is throwing away 300 million dollars."

Enrique pulled out his phone and messaged Vanessa,"Vanessa, what are you trying to do?"

Vanessa glanced at the message but ignored it, setting her phone face down.

"300 million dollars, going once."

"300 million dollars, going twice."

"Damn, is Vanessa out of her mind?300 million for that junk?"

Xzavier nearly fell out of his seat.

"500 million dollars."

Beside him, Adrian spoke calmly.

Xzavier almost flipped the table.

"Adrian! Are you crazy too?" he hissed.

Across the room, Vanessa frowned. She had been wondering which lunatic was competing with her, until she looked up and saw Adrian.

She vaguely recalled that Adrian was involved in underground industries. When had he started dabbling in real estate?

"600 million dollars."

Vanessa raised her bid without hesitation.

Below, Enrique's scowl deepened. He typed another message,"Vanessa, stop".

This time, Vanessa simply powered off her phone.

"800 million dollars."

Vanessa clenched her teeth at Adrian's smug expression.

Fine. He wanted to play games?

Vanessa calmly raised her voice."1.6 billion."

"s**t! She's completely lost it!"

Xzavier practically shouted.

Below, Enrique stood abruptly. The always-composed businessman was genuinely baffled by Vanessa's actions.

In his mind, that land wasn't even worth 150 million.

And Vanessa was offering 1.6 billion?

Adrian met Vanessa's gaze and smirked before making a small, conceding gesture.

"1.6 billion, going once..."

"1.6 billion, going twice..."

"1.6 billion, sold!"

As the gavel fell, Vanessa let out a slow breath.

She had finally secured the land—but thanks to Adrian, she had needlessly overpaid by 1.3 billion.

It was all because of Adrian.

She shot a glare at the man.

Xzavier nudged him."Hey, hey, Vanessa's glaring at you. If I were her, I'd want to kill you right now."

Adrian merely raised an eyebrow, unbothered.

Below, Roselyn clung to Enrique's sleeve."Mr. Morrison, Vanessa is going to bankrupt you."

Enrique's voice was icy."She placed the bid herself. No one will cover the cost for her."
