“I… I just met a client not far from here.” Louis answered with reason. The man tried to act normal, but his racing heart made him even more nervous.
"Don't you want to sue him, Savana?" asked a man who had been silent for a long time after banging on Louis's car window.
They both turned at the same time, "No need uncle, thank you very much for helping me. It's also my fault, I crossed without being careful. I'm fine, he is my boss at the office where I work." It was clear that the woman named Savana was smiling kindly.
Suddenly Louis's heart warmed when he saw Savana's sweet smile on another man.
"I'll handle it, thank you for helping her earlier. Please leave Savana with me, I'll take her home." Louis said firmly. He doesn't like Savana being noticed by other men.
Savana and the man looked at each other in surprise, "Okay then, I'll go. Savana, uncle will go first. Take care of yourself, be careful next time. Remember your little daughter, she is waiting for you to come home intact and alive," said The man who reminded Savana nodded in understanding.
After the man left, Louis helped Savana stand up.
"You have children?" The spontaneous question that came out of Louis's mouth surprised Savana. The woman smiled gently then nodded.
"Yes, I have a daughter. Next month she will be 3 years old," Savana explained while smiling very sweetly at Louis.
Louis stared blankly at the woman who was always present in his dreams.
"Come on, I'll take you home." Have Louis open the passenger side door. He cursed his dirty thoughts, how could he be tempted by Savana's thin and tiny lips at the wrong time.
“Not troublesome, sir?” Savana asked doubtfully. "I can walk slowly, besides I have to stop somewhere. Thank you for your kindness, I'll excuse myself" Savana turned around and walked with a slight limp.
Louis snorted in annoyance, "stubborn." The man followed Savana's small steps with wide strides. Savana gasped in surprise when she felt her body floating.
"Hey! What are you doing, sir! Let go of me," shouted Savana hysterically. But Louis completely ignored him. The man put Savana's small body easily into his car.
“Sit quietly, or I will take you back to my house!” threatened Louis, grinning with satisfaction when he saw his little cat was silent in fear.
"Smart girl..." praised Louis while stroking Savana's head lovingly. Savana felt uncomfortable with Louis's treatment, the woman immediately gently pushed Louis's hand away from her head.
"Tell me your address," said Louis, breaking the silence.
"Ahead turn left, then stop in front of the first alley." Savana directed with the tip of her sharp chin.
Louis was silent, the man continued to glance at Savana who continued to look out the window.
"Here?" Louis asked for reassurance.
"Yes, just here. I'll walk into the alley. Thank you very much for taking me home, sir." Savana opened the car door and got out. Louis stared at Savana's small back with raging feelings.
"Mommy..!" Mercy shouted happily. The little girl ran towards her mother while smiling cheerfully.
"Why is it taking so long? Mercy is bored of playing with Aunt Joa. She is very grumpy," whispered Mercy at the end of her sentence.
Savana chuckled at her daughter's whisper. The woman walked with Mercy towards the terrace.
"I know you're talking about me, Mercy!" shouted Joanna from the door of the house. Mercy giggled then hid her face in her mother's neck.
"Mom... please save me from that evil monster, he wants to eat me." Mercy showed a sad face and fake fear. Savana couldn't stand it anymore, the woman burst out laughing at her daughter's funny behavior.
"Ishh, you two are so mean," said Joanna with a sad face.
Savana gave the code to her daughter, the little girl immediately responded.
"Aunt Joanna is beautiful, forgive Mercy, who is no less beautiful, okay?" said the girl making Joanna roll her eyes sarcastically.
"Can't you praise your aunt without involving yourself in it? Sometimes you give in to your aunt," said Joanna, lowering her face in annoyance.
Mercy laughed a little again, the little girl stood on tiptoe to kiss the cheek of her aunt who was squatting in front of her.
"I will kiss you, don't be angry anymore. Later, auntie's beauty will all transfer to me. I will become even more beautiful, auntie will definitely be annoyed." Mercy said while gently patting his cheek with sweet sparkling eyes.
"You like it, don't you? If I'm ugly, you're even more beautiful," mocked Joanna fiercely.
"You two, stop arguing for just one day. Geez, I'm dizzy hearing that," complained Savana, reprimanding the two of them.
Mercy immediately hid in her mother's chest, Joanna was silent.
Without them knowing, a man had been watching the aunt and nephew's fight with a pounding heart. His tears came out without permission, who knows what happened to him.
Louis turned to his car, then left there, carrying curiosity burning in his heart.
"Why are their faces so familiar in my memory? Are all the events I experienced related to that mother and child?" Throughout the journey home, Louis continued to be haunted by feelings of suspicion.

When he got home, Louis received a sharp look from his mother. But Louis remained as calm as possible.
"Where have you been? You missed dinner with the McGraw family. Did you know, mom and dad almost lost face in front of Monica's family." Anabeth scolded her son in a cold and firm voice. The atmosphere suddenly felt tense, until Lindsey spoke.
"Get some rest, bro, you must be tired. I'll bring dinner to your room," said his younger sister, interrupting his mother's words, and managed to make his mother look at Lindsey with an intimidating look.
But Lindsey wouldn't be Lindsey if she didn't rebel. “Why do you look at me like a criminal?” Lindsey asked boldly. The sound of the father's throat made them both silent.
"Louis, next time you can't attend a meeting, whatever it is, let us know. Embarrassing your parents is not a commendable attitude. You won't look great if you keep avoiding things you don't like. Do you understand?" , son?” His father advised him.
"Sorry Dad, next time I won't do it again." Louis answered obediently.
"Okay, rest in your room. And yes, don't forget to take your medicine," his father reminded Louis again about the medicine he hated the most.
"Okay Dad, I won't forget to drink it. If you'll excuse me, I'll go to my room first." Louis rushed towards the stairs, he wanted to immediately escape his mother's intimidating gaze.
Drug? of course Louis never drank it again. During these 2 weeks, he only took the medicine out of the bottle one by one, and it ended up in the drain. Louis just needs to adjust the days without missing a single date.

After cleaning himself, Louis remembered the little girl he saw this afternoon. Immediately the man grabbed his cell phone and opened his photo album. You can see lots of photos of Savana and her daughter in Louis's cellphone gallery.
Louis smiled faintly when he saw the photo of the two women from different generations. His heart warmed, feeling a strange feeling hit his heartstrings. There is a kind of deep longing but he don't know for whom. There was no way he would miss the two strange women he had just met. This was his first time seeing the little girl.
Louis kissed the photo of mother and child with great feeling. It felt like he wanted to go back there now, where the two women were. But considering how protective his mother was, Louis didn't want to cause any more problems.
