Chapter 56 THURSDAY’S HUNT SAW no weakening of Ryman’s resolve nor blip in the run of fabulous hunting days. At least, to Thumper’s partial relief, he reserved his sermonettes for Saturdays and with a relatively small weekday turnout he kept his opening remarks to a minimum, embellished by only a couple of quick songs before they moved off. If those minor distractions were contributing to the pleasurable action that followed, then even the few remaining agnostics, Thumper among them, were willing to go along with the foolishness.
