“Seth come in here.” I sighed as I started looking through the paper work spread a crossed my desk. Today was going to be a long day first we had to go over the plans for the new pack house. It was time we had found each other once again. All but her she was always the last to come to us. It wasn’t like that at first, she used to be the one to bring us all together. Over time it got harder for her, she didn’t want to keep going over and over. When we would come back, we didn’t remember everything at first. We had a normal life until we hit nineteen but for her, she got to remember everything every life we lived. She started talking about ending the cycle being able to end it all. “Yes, Alpha” Seth entered the room. “What can I help with today?” He stopped in front of my desk. “Is all the paper work ready for later tonight, after the ceremony I would like to leave.” I was told him, he looked down at his desk a worried look on his face. “Seth, speak freely here you have been my friend for too many years now for you not to tell me what’s is on your mind.” and that doesn’t even include how many times we had died for each other over the years. “Well Ari... I mean Alpha how do you know we can start trusting the other packs again?” he looked down ashamed of questioning his Alpha’s choices. “Seth for one thing it’s ok to just call me Aries and for your question no I don’t.” “Then why are we doing this? Why can't we hide?” I knew where he coming from and understood why he felt this why. The last time we were in war and when it was over, they stabbed us in the back. Killing us all before we could pass on our gift. I laughed at myself a gift if that’s what you could even call it anymore. “We can’t hide Seth they knew about us the day we all turned nineteen. And when she comes...” “She is not coming Aries! She hasn’t come in ten years, we have lived and died at least a hundred times with in those years and she never once came for us!” he looked up at me anger, fear, sadness all twisted together on his face. “She will come this time!” I yelled back at him “And when she does, we will go there is no war there is no reason for us to keep being reborn other than to pass on the gifts we have.” he snapped his head up at me “How do you know she will come this time?” he asked “I’m not sure really, but something seems different this time.” I said it was all I could say. He looked down for a moment thinking it over than looked back up at me “I don’t trust the other packs as soon as they know about us, they try using us in their wars we try and help but it never ends countless people die for nothing.” he paused getting his words together. “I will follow you as I always have, and it will be the last time I do follow you.” I understood it can take a toll on you having to live over and over. “It will be Seth I … there is something telling me we need to go to this pack and only this pack, if she is not there then we will move on.” I told him going back to the original plan. I looked up at him waiting for his answer to see is eye were fogged over he must be linking Haper. “The car is here it’s time to go, oh I would also like to let you know the others feel the same as I, she is our Luna but we feel she has given up on us.” he stood up and started walking out the door I sighed hanging my head low. I couldn’t blame them at first, we thought she had died somehow then we would live die of old age or in battle. when it started happening more, we didn’t know what was happing slowly they all started thinking she broke the cycle without us. I got out to the car Seth, Haper, Jacson and Ella where all standing there waiting. Ella walked over to me “Are you sure?” her voice was low and soft. I looked up at all of them the same worried look on their faces. “We are going there to form an alliance with this pack we are not going to tell them the truth about who we are unless she is there, I know you all are losing faith and I am grateful to you all for staying by my side these past years I promise if she is not there we will go on.” I heated saying that last part but I did mean it. They deserve to have the life they want and I will give it to them. We will live our life’s out peacefully until we are needed again. They all looked shocked at what I said no one said another word we drove off to the Dark Shadow Pack. The drive was about thirty minutes but felt like hours with the silence. When we arrived to the packs land there was three guards standing at the gate. One of the guards held up his hand for us to stop and walked over to our car. “Hello sir, what brings you here today?” he asked. “Hello, my name is Aries I am the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack we are here for a meeting with Alpha Mason.” the guard looked at the car full of wolf's suspicion in his eyes. I don’t blame him though it's not every day a small pack comes around that are not rouges. His eyes clouded over mind linking the beta most likely of our arrival. “Please pull your car around to the side we will have someone park it for you then if you will follow me to the check in house will can proceed from there.” he said while pointing to the back of the guard post. The security here was top notch we pulled the car over and got out handing the keys to the second guard and walking over to the first. I waited a minute and watched as the second guard got in the car and started to drive to the back of the main house. This pack has changed so much in the past years. I was sure there where pack members that have fought with us of against us still alive in here with how big they are now. We would have to be careful this may be an alliance meeting but that doesn’t those wolfs wouldn’t want revenge on us. We followed the guard over to the check in house there they searched us and took our pictures then made id badges for us. “These will allow you first floor access only in the pack house you are free to move around the grounds as you wish if you are needed to go anywhere you do not have access to you will need a higher up to be with you.” he explained in a blank tone tired of having to say it every time a new person came to the house. “Follow me and I will take you to the main house, please note to use the door us must swipe your badge.” We followed him down a long hall way having to stop and unlock a door along the way. We got to the last door and walked through to the main entrance of the house. It was a wide-open room in the middle was a long table sitting horizontal a thin white lace like material draped over the top. On either side of the table was a stair case that curved in at the bottom making the people meet each other at the bottom. “The conference room is two doors down on your left Alpha Mason is waiting for you.” the guard told as then walked away. With the way they had security set up I could see why they didn’t think we needed an escort. “Okay, Seth and Haper will come with me to the meeting Jacson and Ella you guys walk around get a feel for the place link me if any trouble starts.” I said turning to look at them Ella had an unsure look on her face. I could tell she was scared to go, Jacson pick up on it just as fast and wrapped his arm around her shoulder using their mate bond to calm her down. “It will be ok El I am here we will stay together.” he looked at me waiting for me to confirm what he said was ok. “That is just fine I’m sorry I didn’t think you guys would want to split so I didn’t think to say something.” I said looking down at Ella she was the youngest of us all I knew what really scared her thought. Throughout these last ten years it was around the time I would start to become weaker without my mate by my side. Knowing that time was coming soon and that we were here in one of the six packs she thought I was wanting to end this life early to come back and try again. She looked up at me more relaxed and nodded her head. “We will let you know if anything happens.” Jacson said as he pulled Ella closer to him and heading over to the front door to swipe his card to let them out. Seth, Haper, and I went down the hall the guard had pointed at earlier walking up the third door and knocked. “Please come in.” a woman said as she opened the doors for us. “Hello, and welcome to our pack I hope you found your way here okay. My name is Amelia and this is my husband, Mason.” Amelia said with a warm smile on her face there was a light silver glow around her body indicating she was the Luna of this pack. We walked into the room and she shut the door behind us. “Please have a seat.” Alpha mason said as he waved his hand over to a group of chairs in the corner of the room. “Alpha Mason Luna Amelia I am Aries Alpha of the Red Moon Pack this is Seth my Beta and his mate Haper thank you for having us and allowing us to discuss this alliance with you.” I started and held my hand out to him for a proper greeting. He lifted both of his hands and wrapped them around mine with a big smile on his face. “Yes, of course it is I who is indeed honored to have to seek out my pack first for the alliance.” We both sat down Lina Amelia walked up behind her husband a frown on her face. “Please Alpha Aries if you don’t mind me asking why now have you come to our pack? We haven't seen any of you for ten years.” she was worried we were the protectors the one that hold great power to fight against evil in the world. “Luna Amelia, I don’t mind at all I hope I can bring you some peace when I say we are just here to see if my mate is here this is the pack she is supposed to be born into, if she is here, we will be going on way we have been around for these last ten years fighting monsters and war.” I stopped looking at them “She has yet to come to me and honestly I am quite tired of waiting for her.” I said the last part with a smirk on my face and a cocky tone in my voice. Haper giggled under her breath as both Amelia and Mason looked shocked at me being so up front with them. Mason cleared his throat “I... I'm sorry Alpha Aries but our pack hasn’t had a protector in the last ten years we thought that... that you had all found peace.” he paused “from the stories that have been passed down throughout the years and none of the other packs ever sent out message that you all were born.” he was staring to ramble I didn’t care I was still processing what he last said. She hasn’t been reborn in the last ten years. That can’t be possible if she hasn’t been born then how are we all here. I could feel the anger in me build how could she do this to us. I was fighting with myself something wasn’t right I knew she was here I could feel her. As soon as we hit the pack lands, I felt her I didn’t say anything because I wanted to be sure but now, they lie right to my face. “Why are you lying to me!” I screamed at them. They could feel the power coming off of me making them jump back from their sets. “I’m sorry Alpha Aries but my husband speaks the truth we haven’t felt the power of the protectors in ten years.” she said fear in her voice more lies out of her mouth. “I can feel her here why are you hiding her from me!” I yelled out standing from my set. They all had shocked looks on their faces. “Please Alpha Aries if she was here, we would have informed you our packs have never been on the wrong side of one another why would we now?” Alpha Mason asked he was right in the past the Dark Shadow pack has never been on our bad side. Their pack has always been big on the history of the protectors it is said that the first alpha of the pack was the one who asked the moon goddess for help and getting the other packs to agree with it. Back then they needed us. The witches and the humans had got together and made these blood sucking monster that looked like humans but smelled of death. “Alpha Mason please excuse my Alpha he has waited a long time for his mate and as you should know when we are near our mate we can feel them, so you can see why he would think you are lying to him.” Seth had started talking “if it is ok with you Alpha Mason, please allow us to see for ourselves tonight.” he finished looking between both of us. I started to calm down Seth always did have a clear head when things started to get heated. “Yes, Seth that sounds like a good plain.” I looked over to Alpha Mason “I do apologize for the outburst plese allow us to proceed with the paperwork and then celebrate this alliance.” Alpha Mason looked at me hesitantly before extending his had to shake mine. “Ha, son if you call that an outburst, I would not like to see you angry.” he said with a wide smile on his face. After the meeting Alpha Mason, he had an omega lead us to the guest house. On the way to the house, we passed the main pack house and seeing it on the outside and this close really showed how big this pack has gotten. The main house stood a towering five stories was painted a light blue with two bay style windows on either side of a door that looked like it should be on a castle. We walked around to the back of the house where we saw a smaller house. “This is the guest house the first floor is the kitchen and living area the upper two floors hold the bed rooms and bathrooms please make yourselves at home if you need you can enter the main house by the hall or by walking around to the front. “There was a hall that connected to this place and we walked around here why?” Haper asked being somewhat of a smartass. “Oh, um, I'm sorry I just thought you might like to get a look around on the walk.” the omega looked down. “Oh, no I’m sorry I wasn’t trying to be mean.” Haper quickly said trying to make the omega feel better and failing badly. She led us to the door and let us know our things were up stair and waiting for us. I thanked her and she was on her way. Not to long after Ella and Jacson walked through the door. “Well, this place is huge I can’t believe how big they have gotten in the last ten years.” I heard Ella say as they walked into the living room. They sat down on the love set, I walked in followed by Seth and Haper now that we are all together it was time to talk. “Ok, guys tell me how much have they expanded?” I asked them. “Well, they are up to almost three hundred wolfs now they have turned their south east border into a town with shops and houses for the pack it's also a way they are bring in money.” he paused for a moment. “They apparently the hot springs they have over there is a big attraction for the humans so they opened them up to the public for a fee of course, I must say times have changed it's like we have been living under a rock.” Jacson finished he never did like living in our original wolf from. “Wow I wound of never thought that wolfs would open up their lands to humans.” Haper spoke a shock written all over her face. I couldn’t blame her the whole reason we were made was because of the humans and witches. “Times have changed Haper, one of the wolfs we talked to Nate I think his name was said that the humans and witches haven’t been at war with the wolf kind in the past ten years.” Ella said. “I guess that’s why we haven’t really came a cross any of those monsters they stopped making them.” Jacson said. “Something doesn't make since.” it was Seth he seems to be lost in thought and I wasn’t sure if he meant to say it out load. “What?” I asked pulling him out of thought. “Oh, well, think about it if we stopped the war then who attacked us back then? The first time we came back and found each other we got ready but never found a hide out for the witches or the monster so we decided to stay from everyone all together, we never really stopped to get information on anything that happened back then.” I looked up at him he was right the war was over it was weeks after that the attack happened on us at the time, we just thought it was the monster retaliating on us while we were off guard. For the first few years we were always on guard ready to attack but never found and sign of them. “We will find out more tomorrow right now we have to get ready.” I told them standing up and walking up stairs to my room. The party was going just fine the Alpha had made a few announcements about the future Alpha his son Max and his chosen mate Aurora. I guess true mates was another thing that changed, they were becoming less and less. It finally got to the part I was waiting for meeting the pack. I knew she was here I could feel her it was almost overwhelming something was off though I couldn’t pin point her out from the crowd. It would be fine soon she would be right in front of me. That’s when I saw it out the corner of my eye. There was a girl she was holding herself up with the wall her hand on her head. I went to say something to Alpha Mason to get an omega to help the girl to a set when I heard her scream throwing her head back and falling to her knees. “Celest!” max has jumped off the stage and ran over to her leaving his mate not to happy. Wait did he say Celest, I looked over to the girl again this time getting a clear look at her face. I took a deep breath in shocked how this woman she looked just like her my Celest my heart filled with happiness finally seeing my mate again and then pain seeing her in pain but why and why was Max comforting her. I walked past the wolfs starting to from a circle around her. The closer I got it seemed the more pain she was in. “Celest, is that your name?” I asked. “Get...away” she managed to get out between breaths. I dropped down on my knees taking in her beautiful face a face I thought I would never see again. I brought my hand to her face and for a moment she looked at ease the pain slowly fading. “No!” she yelled out and pushed me away before fainting I reached out and grabbed her pulling her close to me before she could hit the ground. Sending the familiar sparks of electricity through my body. I had found her at last.
