CHAPTER 9Jasper was asleep again in her store. Abby crossed her arms. This time he had fallen asleep in the office, sitting at the other desk. He had even put his feet up, leaning back in the chair. His gray messenger bag lay on top of the desk. His hands were folded across his stomach. He looked peaceful. Cory joined her at the doorway.
"So what happened last night? I mean he was asleep when I left and then today you have me go help him bring over his comic collection to sell."
"It just sort of happened. It was raining, and I took him home. He mentioned the collection, and once I saw the first box, I agreed to help him sell it." That left out a lot.
