CHAPTER 22Abby left the store with the issue of the Green Lantern secure inside her messenger bag to protect it from any possibility of getting wet. On the coast, it was a fair bet that at some point she might get rained on between the store and Jasper's place. Even though the comic was in its own bag, she didn't want to take any chances. She had even considered leaving it behind, but she considered it a likely possibility that Jasper would want to hang onto the comic himself. Cory had the right idea, how likely was it that he'd get the chance to own something like this comic again? There were other comics worth more, but this was still an important book. She'd be tempted to keep it for her own small collection, but she wasn't going to spend that much for it.
