CHAPTER 32Abby leaned back in her chair and put her feet up on her desk. She put her k****e down on one leg and swiped a finger lightly across the touch screen to turn the page. She had finished The Gingerbread House and was reading Jasper's Battered Bells. So far it had her hooked hard. She reached for her coffee mug only to realize—for the second time—that it was empty. She put it back down and rubbed her eyes. She should probably try to get some sleep. Abby twisted around and looked at Jasper, still asleep at the other desk. His head hung forward on his chest, his face peaceful. He had slid sideways in the chair so that his left side rested against the chair arm.
