Chapter 55Summer was passing. Richie, Carrie, and Richie, Jr. spent a productive yet relaxing week and left. They were a congruent family and Rachael struggled to hide her envy. They were yet another example of togetherness, the way Rachael knew family could be, the family she could only see in others or conjure in her fiction.
Nearly finished with her current book, she was scheduled for four autographing sessions and the live talk show taping in the month of September.
