Autumn
“I can’t believe it,” Autumn said, her eyes wide with disbelief.
“Dru and the rest of them are there now. The authorities were aware, and they were showing up as I was leaving. You and your family are safe.”
“Rocky. I owe you so much,” Autumn began.
“You owe me nothing, mate. It is I who owe you everything. You are my life.”
Tears streamed down Autumn’s face. She couldn’t believe the man that had played God to her life for so long was no longer able to do so. Her brother was safe, and so was her mom and dad.
“My parents.”
“Your parents are welcome to resume their life again, should they choose.”
“That’s incredible. I can’t wait to tell them!”
