Chapter 9
Rocky
Terrell told Rocky where to go as they followed their prey. Rocky’s skin prickled at the urgency of his bear to hunt. His bear saw the man as one thing and one thing only: the enemy. Anyone who dared to cross their mate in such a way deserved to be killed. The human part of Rocky wasn’t too far from agreeing, but he knew killing the man wouldn’t help them get to Brody. If nothing else, they just needed to knock him out so they could plant a listening device on him somewhere. It amazed him the things Terrell had at their disposal. The listening device would be so small that the man wouldn’t even notice it once it was placed somewhere on him. Hopefully luck would be on their side and the man would have some sort of jewelry on him. If not, then they’d have to get innovative.
