“Who knows those rumors might be true,” Castel says, thinking about it “then why does every history say that humans and demon kin have been fighting,” Emily says, sounding like she did not believe it, “well, there is just no way to know Emily, everything you read could be a lie,” Castel said as they walk, “don’t think that is true” pish says agreeing with Emily “I did not say I believed the story after all the memories passed down to demon kin when we are born to say that demon kin fought with humans often, I do think it is too much of a fairy tale but worth thinking about,” Megan says as they walk.

   “well did you hear that story from anyone else,” he asked with interest “only one other human seemed to know the story, but who knows, well enough of that, do you think the gods will grant three wishes to the human that brings eternal peace to everyone,” Megan says they look at her like she is strange “that to seams to much like wishful thinking, to me, I’m sure they would have told me that when they contacted me in the city of light, then an again when we joined together in a dream I’m sure they would have said something about that being a reward,” he says firmly.

“You met the gods?” Emily asks in a sharp voice, “yeah, I think so; though I can’t prove it, it seemed too much like a dream or just my imagination, it just seemed so unreal” Castel said, “what did the gods do. Tell you,” Megan asked, “nothing much they seemed to care less what I did, they seemed more interested in the fact that I was from another world, they did not tell me what to do or where to go, they just gave me some facts I did not know and left me hanging nothing that told me what I should do,” Castel says sounding confused. “I wonder if the gods put it into us to find you; it makes sense, after all, to give us this abstract goal to find something, and when we see you, it just clicks that you what we have been looking for, “Megan says. 

   “Yeah, but what if he never went the way he did,” Emily said. Megan shrugs “then I’m sure the feeling would have passed, “ she said with conviction “this reminds me of the tale of the first pact master; he too was drawn to his demon kin,” Emily said absently, “I think it’s different in this case Emily it is us how were drawn to him” Megan say, “overthinking,” Pish says firmly “yeah what’s the use of talking about things like this” Heather says “oh, for one thing, Heather, talking helps time pass faster, and have a good conversation can help you learn things you never thought you could learn, that could be useful in life, it also helps humans to talk a great deal, it helps them organize their minds better,” Megan says firmly like she was standing some belief.

   The other demon kin looks unsure of what she says “humans are complicated, “ slither says simply, “Yah some demon kin even called me to human to be a demon kin, because I like talking about anything, oh I don’t know why I like talking any more than other demon kin know why I like talking, which sometimes even confuses me” Megan says as they walk “well anything else you want to talk about Megan “ Castel ask as they walk “so you say you know things about the world, do you know how that is possible “ Megan ask z” not really, and every time I think about it I always believe in a circle, so I shove it to the back of my mind “ he says as they walk.

   “you sound like a demon kin entering the world for the first time, we are given the basic knowledge of surviving, and can look after our self as soon as we’re born, no need for family among the demon kin, no need for the city, or towns, though I did hear about a town formed by demon kin once, “ Megan says “yeah I do think I’m too much like a demon kin, whenever I think about my past, I feel afraid like there something in my past I should remember, “ he says “yeah you humans do have a habit of fearing the unknown, but I guess that is just how you were built, speaking of which do you even know if you are a human, you could be some new type of demon kin just given form,” Megan says

   “Well, if he were a demon kin, he would not be able to form a pact with demon kin,” Emily said moldy “well, I heard in passing that the pact was. For demon kin alone how wanted to bond for life with a member of the demon kin race” Megan says absently “well that has to be wrong” heath and Emily says firmly “I don’t know it makes sense what if the pact was something like a demon kin pledge to always be by there side” Castel said throwing it out there, “but that goes against everything we’re taught, and know from memory “ slither says “like I said I don’t believe what they said, it was just something I heard from another demon kin in passing” Megan says

   “you sure do know a lot, Megan, “ Emily said, impressed “you would be surprised what people will talk about, like the god of shadow and light, never made this world or the creatures on it, they were just put here to watch over us, bye the god that created everything, that is just one of the crazy things I heard while talking,” Megan said “well I would not believe that for a grain of thought “ she nods “like the strange, crazy blind human that said the world was nothing more than a game like I would believe that,” Megan said firmly. 

“Oh really, this is interesting; what are the other things people tend to talk to you about,” he said. She nodded “there was also this beautiful woman who said that every creature but the human was made, like flesh golems by some sort of creatures that came from the sky, there is also that we just blinked into existence just now,” she said with dought Castel laughed “yeah sure, and I’m going to marry the goddess of light when I die,” he says with humor “wait if you are going to marry her what will happen to her husband “ Megan ask with humor “well she promised to leave him when I passed from life. So that we will live happily ever after, “he says deadpan.

“Well, that about as likely to happen, as the god retaking form and walking the world,” Emily says mildly “what else have you talked about with others,” he asked, “just the usual thing you talk about, like each blessing cities, their families like this one human woman had four mates counting her human husband, this one demon kin that wanted to see every city for himself, how good fishing is in the city of sails, who when they went fishing, like how humans all-way seem to catch the biggest fish,” she said

“Yeah, I notice when humans go fishing they always talk about the one that got away,” Emily says with humor “there was this human woman how had 12 children with her pact mate, six humans, and six demon kin, not that I believed her, but the woman in question did look like she went through a great deal,” Megan says as they walk, “I think that would be painful having 12 babies,” Emily says mildly.

“So, papa Lance, what about us? How many children do you want” Megan asks as they go? He shrugs. “I never really thought about that, I don’t know, I mean, I like the idea of having a lot of kids, but I also like the idea of keeping the children making to a minimum, “he says. Megan nods “more children better,” Pish says, “more children I dead better more likely to survive, “Heather says, “I agree,” slither says, “I me to I want a lot of offspring,” Megan said, “not me. First, I have one to see if I can deal with the process of childbirth,” Emily said plainly “what else have you heard, Megan,” he asked. 

“Well also there this grand force on our world that decides if we get pregnant and just how many times we breed true, it been around since the dawn of time, controlling the population on our world,” Megan says vaguely like she did not believe it one bit “that could explain why this world has never experienced overpopulation, “ Emily says with the tone that said she to dought it “what about you all what’s the strangest thing you saw or heard,” Megan says excitedly for anything new “well I haven’t been in this world long enough to experience anything strange, well other than waking up in the forest with no memory of my past, was the strangest thing,” Castel said 

“Well, other than hearing that human are not original from this world, nothing that would match anything you talked about so far,” Emily said plainly.

“What about you three? You know anything that might be good to talk about” Megan asks with gusto “you know now I don’t want to have you,” Heath says plainly “like you stood a chance, Castel is way better than you, “Megan says, “dang I know you like humans, but what is so good about this one. “Heath ask as they walk “well, for one, he seems so much like us demon kin, he looks good for a human, he doesn’t mind me talking a lot, I’m sure the others have a similar reason for staying with him,” Megan says firmly “well once you form a pact it usually for life” slither says “yah but I can tell that you not just with him because, of the pact, you each love him in your way” Megan says

   “yah I always found it od whenever I heard about cross-relationship, demon kin seem to do so for life when they chose a human for a partner, “ Emily said plainly “yah and I bet you never heard of a demon kin divorcing A human,” Megan said Emily nods “you humans and Divorce, as if mating once with a creature is not enough you have to find some loophole out of your relationships,” Heath says disgusted “hay look I don’t like divorce either,” Emily said firmly.

   “Setting you free, Heath, “Emily says firmly, power flowing around her. “But that could kill us,” Heath says, sounding afraid, “so what anything is better than being bound to you? I’m tired of your complaining, your hardly ever around, you’re not even friendly to me, I bet you would still hate being bonded to me if I spread my legs for you!” Emily says as Heath star glowing with her “stop” Heath says, “not you’re going to be free!” Emily says they both explode with energy and collapse.

   He goes to Emily Megan goes to Heath “she alive” he said “so is he” Megan says “now what just happened “ he said “it’s the split, the way out of a pact, but if the side doesn’t want the pact to end even if the reason is not to know to them, it will kill both the splinters “ Megan says, a few minutes later the two of them awaken “I guess we both wanted to be free” Emily said hesitantly “final, but that was just reckless Emily, I had doubts about myself, and did not want to chance it” heath says flex and rubbing his head “man I feel so empty” Emily says sadly “me too” Heath said but happy.

   “well, I’m alive, I wish you good luck, but I’m going to find some wild demon kin female and f**k her brains out,” he says, striping of his clothes and flying off before Emily can get up on her feet “what if that didn’t work, “ he said “I would still be free but dead,” Emily says absently getting up, and they pick up walking again “so how long we’re you with Heath “ Megan ask “about two to three years,” Emily says “well I’m glad to see him go the way he stared at me was just wrong to me,” Megan said “he wants to mate with you and pretty badly. No matter what he said. I could feel that much,” Emily said absently.

   “As if I would let someone like him touch me even before I was bounded, he was far too angry for me to like,” Megan says firmly “yeah, he did not like the fact you talked so much,” Emily said, “well then I’m doubly glad I would not let him touch me, anyone how it doesn’t like my talking, I can do without,” Megan says as they start walking again, Emily was walking a little wistfully as they go “are you ok.”

He asked, “yeah, I will be fine. It was like cutting off an extra arm I did not need or want, I can still feel it move,” Emily said “well, maybe you will find some new pact demon kin this time a nice female,” he says, patting her on the shoulder “the one demon kin I want is not compatible with my soul. She is already in a pact,” Emily says sadly.

   “Hey, at least I mate with you,” Heather says “yeah, but it feels like pity s*x; you don’t want to do it with me,” Emily said “sorry, I just prefer males,” heather says “look I think you should stop s*x with me if you can’t love me then I don’t want you to do it with me,” Emily says “what about me I love you, Emily,” he said she looks at him strange “look you can’t be in love…” at his look into his eye she cuts off “fine you love me, I'm might as well have s*x with you, that trouble why it feels so good,” she says as they walk.

   “Well, I heard that even if a split is successful, neither demon kin nor human is the same after, it must be why you so down, Emily,” Megan says, going to Emily and kissing her “there, I hope that makes you feel better,” Megan says Emily looks at her shocked “what I think your dam sexy, and deadly smart you would be my second choice to have a pact with,” Megan says as they walk. The sun begins to set “wow, time flies when talking and look, we have not arrived at a town yet,” Megan says. They walk for a bit more, either finding a good place to spend the night or some relay house.

They set up camp “looks like I’m sleeping—” Emily says after her tent is set up, but Megan shuts her up with a kiss. “Castel, you have fun with the others; I’ll give Emily some special attention, “ Megan says as Emily looks a bit lost “have fun,” Castel says, “hey don’t you want to have s*x with me to Castel,” Emily says sounding almost hopefully “sure, but you are going last, p so you might as well enjoy Megan,” he says Megan pulls the speechless Emily to her tent. After leaving Emily to her tent Megan goes back into Emily’s tent “no more, Megan, I can’t take any more” Emily’s voice says, “oh, I’m not here to play with you anymore, I figured you would like a warm body to sleep next to after all castle never sleeps alone” he hears Megan says he returns to his tent push on his right slither on his left and top of him heather, he sure was warm when he fell asleep.

   Castel wakes up in the morning after a seamless night, he wakes up the three sleeping with him, and they help him silently prepare dinner, heat the kills a boar, and he cooks it along with some of the prepared food the priest had given to him. Once they finished preparing dinner, they woke up Megan and Emily “well, I had a great dream; the castle was taking me from behind as I was playing with Emily,” Megan says as they eat. “I did not have a dream,” he says, “swimming in the sea,” pish said, “I would rather not like to talk about my dream,” Slither says mildly. “I dreamt that my first child was human,” Heather says, rubbing her stomach. “I had a nightmare, “Emily said, sounding upset.
