The story Spiriture marks the adventure of a child without Talent, who was ready for change. The major theme about the story is unveiling the mysterious world outside the mist and the increment of powers for Lucas.

The background of the story is set on Atlantis, when it didn't sink to the ocean but remained as the last continent surviving from the fog.

There are eight rankings of Spiritures highlighting the difference between their powers, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Amethyst, Amber, Emerald, Diamond and Radiant. A bit like valorant I guess but I'm just naming materials.

There's also a half rank called extreme standing for the maximum amount of Spirit powers human body could contain. But Lucas will break it therefore opening a new path for Spiritures to continue developing.

Note, Atlantis isn't one singular country it's a continent with numerous countries inside. However it will be united to confront the mysteriousness outside the mist.

There's romance, but it isn't the major theme. The book mainly focus on the development of Lucas and how he wrecks everybody. It's not like a moral book where the main character is an angel and try to save everybody but he certainly isn't a villain.

This is my first time writing so please leave suggestions if some where is a mistake or can be improved, I'll change it straight away.

It's going to be a long story with multiple series, but pleaseeee spend like 15 minutes to keep reading, I promise it will be pretty cool.

Chapter One
"Five hundred years ago, when the Earth was entirely surrounded by the Fog, every continent of the world succumbed to its grasp, except for one: Atlantis, our home." Mr. Shelly's voice travelled through the vast classroom, carrying from the far end of the hall. Lucas’s eyes reached outside the window from this enormous classroom, onto the Spiriture students on the training field. "Even now, countless machines, investigators, and researchers have ventured into the Fog, seeking answers beyond Atlantis," Mr. Shelly continued, his voice unintentionally tinged with solemnity. "Yet not a single soul has returned." He paused, letting the weight of that fact settle in. "However, with the arrival of the Fog, a gift emerged within Atlantis—a power that changed our fate forever." “Five centuries prior, an enigmatic Fog had blanketed the world, stopping dead at the borders of Atlantis. In an instant, all connections with other continents vanished, as if the Earth's history beyond our borders had been nothing more than a fleeting dream. Even now, the Fog remains an impenetrable mystery, we know nothing about it except toxic and unyielding.” Every conceivable method has been deployed to understand the Fog, yet it remains impervious to our efforts," Mr. Shelly explained. Accompanying the Fog came Spirit Power and Talent—a form of energy we have never witnessed before. Nearly ninety percent of Atlantis's population naturally manifests their Talent at the age of twelve, categorised into numerous domains each with unique abilities. With the advent of these Talents and the harnessing of Spirit Power, spontaneously, a new occupation emerged—Spiritures, the most honoured and powerful figures in Atlantis today. Within these spiritures there are eight ranks, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Amethyst, Amber, Jade, Diamond, and Radiant. The role of Spiritures not only dictated the hierarchical structure of society but also shouldered the weighty responsibility of safeguarding Atlantis and vanquishing the infrequent intrusions of monsters from beyond the border. Although no one had ever returned from the Fog, deadly monsters occasionally traversed the boundary into our cities. We call these creatures, Mysterious. No technology or weapons can cause impact to these undefeatable creatures, with only Spiritures possessing the power to combat these elusive beings, further solidifying their esteemed status, as Atlantis's survival hinged upon their abilities. “See you Lucas.” “See you Mr. Shelly” “Shut up Jack stop yelling in my ear” Lucas continued walking along the exit with the noise of other students. He slowly paced next to his best mate Pake who was a top 100 Junior Spiriture in Lensland. His bright, fiery-red hair seems to mirror his Talent of extraordinary fire control. His height and size seems frightening for his age, the clear marked muscles on his arms conveyed his strength and hardwork, however his personality is directly contrasted to his appearance. He is so dumb but funny he has become neighbours with Luas since they were three, experiencing every twist within each other’s life. “Bro, that training ses was actually so bad, like it’s actually so god damn tiring to just run laps for like a whole hour.” Pake complained as he leaned over Lucas putting his weight upon him to save energy. “Get off me you lazy ass.” Lucas immediately pushed him away. “Did you like the sweat?” Pake asked with a teasing smile on his face. He is so familiar with Lucas that they seemed like families. “At least you get a training ses, I have to sit in the classroom listening to the Fog being so goddamn deadly.” Lucas complained with a sign, feelings unintentionally getting low. “Ain’t like I get a chance to see how deadly it is.” The slow, calming toll of the bell marked the end of the school day. Lucas and Pake, ambled toward the school grounds' border, heading in opposite directions. Despite living on the same street, Pake had rigorous training sessions every day after school. The life of a Spiriture was one of endless dedication; every moment's rest lead to death from mysterious Lucas doesn’t plan to go home, he gradually ascends upon a small mountain without anyone close. isolated and tranquil, with no one in sight. This place, devoid of flowers or creatures, and its patternless wild grass singing the sole melody of this ordinary child. Upon reaching the top, the silence and sizzling air seemingly brought him back to reality, a huge contrast to the bustling school below. Lucas lowered himself onto a large rock, just like he always did for the past three years when he felt low. It was here, three years ago, that he had come to terms with the truth: he was among the one in ten who didn't possess a Talent. Before turning twelve, his sole aspiration had been to become a Spiriture—not just any Spiriture, but the greatest Spiriture to ever roam beyond the Fog, free to explore the world. Twelve years he had waited, longing for the day when he would awaken to an extraordinary Talent, like the fire controller Polio or deadly Moonring Acio. But that day had come and gone, and Lucas remained normal, not a single feeling of Talent was captured. The wind whispered softly through the trees, and Lucas gazed out at the horizon beyond the Fog, a place he could only dream of reaching. The allure of the unknown world outside Atlantis had always beckoned to him, but now, it felt like an unreachable fantasy. Behind the mountain loomed the enigmatic Fog full of mystery and danger, but to Lucas the Fog always seems to have a undeniable attraction, ever since Lucas was borned the Fog has triggered his complete goal of life he always believed it was his aspiration to walk outside the Fog, but now he can think of any chance to accomplish his dream. On the other side of the mountain lies the flaring bright city of Nuanda, the mountain seems to be a natural boundary between the fascination of reality and achievement of human power, the boundary between ordinary and remarkable. (Warning, the host is surrounded in extreme danger, leave the area right now.) (Warning a Bronze 5 levelled Cowface is arriving at you in 20 seconds, leave the area right now) A robotic sound echoed loudly inside Lucas's brain, a surreal sensation that seemed to reverberate through his very thoughts. He couldn't hear it in the conventional sense, but it seemed to be an entirely new sensation in his brain. Suddenly, without warning, an alarm blared in his consciousness, accompanied by a searing red light that filled out his brain. His physical vision remained unchanged, but the flashing light and alarm dominated his mind. "What the hell?" Lucas whispered, his voice carrying a mixture of confusion and anxiety. His instincts reacted before his mind as he found himself sprinting downhill from the rugged mountain. (Beginner mission initiated, run two hundred metres south direction) The message materialised in his mind, a red arrow vividly appeared in his vision like the fourth dimension clashed into their world. Yet, the urgency it conveyed left Lucas with no choice but to obey. His every stride propelled anxiety and eagerness of power. Maybe this is his talent, Lucas sincerely hoped as some very seldom Talents can be in forms of Mental domain. However the dark and rocky downhill brought him back to reality, his rush of adrenaline and excitement pushed his physical limit into another level. While he had never possessed any talents, he had always been the most athletic child growing up, and now, that athleticism became his lifeline. (Mission completed—reward beginner package) The robotic voice echoed in his brain again after Lucas roughly sprinted about two hundred metres. A large spinning wheel suddenly materialised in his vision, its vibrant colours and intriguing symbols captivating his attention. Before Lucas could fully process the possibilities, the wheel burst into a dizzying spin, each revolution carrying his fate closer to revelation. (Bing- Congratulations host received beginner package- talent ability of space) Lucas's heart pounded in his chest as exhilaration coursed through him. This was the pivotal moment he had always yearned for, the chance to become a great, transforming his ordinary existence. (Warning host is still in extreme danger, Cowface is 652 metres behind you) At the abrupt warning, Lucas's racing heart stuttered. He turned his gaze back, and dread washed over him as he beheld a malevolent figure in pursuit. A dark silhouette, resembling a nightmarish monstrosity the size of a car, charged towards him with the swiftness of a lightning strike. The world around Lucas had become a swirling mystery and danger. With the newfound power, he knew that this perilous chase was only the beginning of a journey into the unknown. Suddenly Lucas could feel the existence of space around him reaching as far as five metres around, watching back at the cowfaced monsters crashing into his direction completely ignoring the uncontrollable force from gravity. In a blink of an eye, the cow faced monster has already caught up to him, Lucas pupil minimised in frighten automatically he teleported five metres to his left. The wind from the Cowfaced monster blew past his skin. Lucas vision captured the piercing and petrifying horns on top of its neck. Lucas felt the sense of death within the reach, the growing wind and unbearable scream made by the monster tensed his mind. He automatically initiated his new talent, teleporting from one side to another. His mind is resisting its instinct to turn back and run away, because he knows if he loses his eyes on the monster the next second he will be crashed into a section. As Lucas consecutively teleported across the down hill, the limited Spirit Power in his new adapted body immediately drenched out travelling less and less distance. (Mission initiated, further enrage the Cowface, gain 100 emotion points) (reward- notice from professional Spiriture nearby) Emotion points? Lucas's thoughts echoed within the confines of his mind as he pondered the enigmatic mission that had just materialised. The system reacted to his confusion inside, answering his question. (An emotion point is emotions that you cause other, depending the intensity of the emotion you influenced the greater points will be earned) The system's explanation resonated in Lucas's thoughts, and he marveled at its ability to access and provide answers to his internal thoughts. Yet, there was no time to understand the system. Lucas needed to focus on surviving. What could enrage this unintelligent Cowface creature? Hold up, Cowface, cows hate red, if I can find something red around the surroundings then I could enrage it. Lucas immediately looked around for anything red he could identify, just as he became desperate, he just suddenly remembered that his underwear has always been the colour red… “This is not shameful, this is not shameful, I’m just trying to live.” Lucas tried to convince himself internally however his skin still turned burning red throughout his body. (100 emotion points earned) Lucas signed in relief and pulled up his pants, observing the Cowface that was in extreme anger. Fire is piercing through its eyes aiming directly at Lucas, it has had enough of this bronze 1 little monkey jumping around his face and now the monkey is even teasing him. Just when he was about to crash into Lucas who was pulling up his pants. Just when it seemed that the monstrous beast was about to pounce on Lucas, a blur of movement intervened. A figure, a blond-haired man in his thirties, descended upon the scene with incredible speed, smashing into the charging Cowface. The impact sent shockwaves through the air, and as the dust and blood settled, Lucas could finally discern the newcomer's features. It was an Amethyst-level Spiriture, his landing accompanied by a powerful fist that hammered into the ground. The force of the blow caused half of the Cowface’s body into ashes. (Bing- Amethyst level Spiriture has arrived reward accepted) Lucas's mind turned into great astonishment. Could any creature withstand such a devastating attack? If this Spiriture was just an Amethyst-ranked Spiriture, Lucas couldn't imagine what might happen if he encountered a Diamond or Radiant-ranked Spiriture. As Lucas stood in amazement, the Spiriture stepped forward to address him. Anxious thoughts raced through Lucas's mind: did he see him before he arrived? The idea of being exposed sent a shiver down his spine. No one must know, he thought determinately. "I'm Sam," the Spiriture introduced himself calmly, sensing Lucas's apprehension. "That was quite a close call. Are you injured?" Lucas replied hurriedly, eager to put this encounter behind him. "Yeah, I'm fine." Sam finally got a chance to take a close look at Lucas. "Your talent is space!" Sam exclaimed, shocked by the discovery, Lucas wasn't surprised by the reaction; he knew the rarity and power associated with Space-talented Spiritures. In all of Atlantis, there had been only two recorded instances of Space-talented Spiritures. One had died two centuries ago, and the other, is one of the Six, Space traveller Lu, resided in Lensland as well. "How is this possible?" Sam questioned, his frustration evident. "I've never heard of a second Space-talented Spiriture." Lucas shrugged, not expecting Sam to believe that he had only recently awakened his talent. Exceptions hadn't occurred in five hundred years; everyone earned their talent at the age of twelve. Moreover, Lucas couldn't even explain the mysterious system to himself. “I guess I just haven’t really gotten much attention,” Lucas shrugged carelessly to disguise the lie, he doesn't want to gain too much attention yet. "That's fair," Sam conceded, seemingly convinced. "You're only a bronze one-level Spiriture." "What's your name and age?" Sam inquired further. "I'll inform my division about you. But remember, you should work hard to improve yourself. Do you understand the weight of your talent?" "I'm fifteen, and my name is Lucas Wayne," he answered honestly. Sam handed Lucas a flickering silver-ranked Spirit stone. "Here, this can help you with your training." Lucas accepted the stone with gratitude. Although it might seem inconsequential to Sam, to him, it was priceless. "Thank you so much," Lucas expressed his appreciation with genuine excitement. "Don't worry about it," Sam reassured him. "Just consider it compensation for my delay. Train harder, okay?" With that, Sam turned and departed with astonishing speed, leaving Lucas with a newfound sense of purpose and the weight of his extraordinary talent settling firmly upon his shoulders.
