It Never Ends

Logan was crawling through the ceiling over the treasury when he got a message on his isekai phone. It was from Dani who took the day off. Reading through the long message, he saw that they needed more ice pops, and eggs, and a bunch of other grocery items. No clue why she sent him that when it was his mom that handled the house.

Jaivva was reading parts of the message but could see very clearly. There was something about a car, some groceries, and at the end of the message something about a party.

Logan was clearly furious judging by the look on his face.

He looked at Jaivva who asked him in sign language what was wrong.

"Nothing," he said in sign language.

"I didn't know Dani lives with you. I thought she lived with Kiki".

"She lives wherever she wants. A free floater really".

"So she wants you to get groceries and go to a party"?

"For God's sake, she is complaining that my mom is too sick to get groceries and wants me to do it. The party is something else I'm not getting into".

Jaivva mocked Logan with silly gestures. He was nowhere pleased with whatever he read. His finger directed Jaivva to below.

She stuck her ear down, hearing nothing in the room. They then lifted a ceiling tile and let each other down using 550-chord. Everything was made seamless as though nobody been there. Even the ceiling tile was put back into place.

It was nice and clean there. The door got locked for the sake of not letting anybody in. The two broke into a treasure chest, stealing a buttload of points. But not too much. They remained conservative and only took what was manageable.

Now that they obtained a few thousand points, the two looked out the door to check their surroundings. There was nothing too abnormal, except the guards were wearing a slightly different uniform. It was a pain, but they knew what they needed to do.

A guard spotted them in the treasury. Instead of saying anything, he walked up with a fellow guard.

"Excuse me," called Logan. They were mildly fooled by his commanding officer uniform. "What's going on in here"?

A guard peeked inside the room. Nothing appeared to be wrong.

"Who are you are?" he asked.

"Captain Uchiha," said Logan, "You need an I.D. or are you going to tell me why this door was unlocked"?

"It wasn't sir," said the guard.

Logan deserved an oscar for how stunned he appeared to be, "You think this room wasn't open? Then how am I standing in it"?

The first guard stepped inside. Obviously, nobody else was in there. The other guard stood outside staring at Jaivva.

Whatever difficulty this was, it wasn't level 3. Both men were sharp. The neighboring guards stayed firm on their hallway patrols.

Jaivva took a step in catching both men's attention. Two of Logan's shuriken flew into each of their necks.

One shuriken pierced deep into the inside guard's throat, preventing him from yelling. That guard slashed his dagger at Logan. Instead of dodging, Logan parried the guard's forearm with his own. After, he dug his kunai down into the guard's forearm to obtain control.

The guard first tried to punch him, which was easily blocked by Logan's short sword. He then kicked to push himself away. But Logan drove his sword in, hitting the femur.

Logan pulled that leg in a single fluid motion that sent the kunai in the guard's forearm straight into his throat. He instantly pulled the guard in again by the arm and cut his neck open using his sword.

Looking in the hallway, he noticed Jaivva was against the wall with a knife in the other guard's neck. Her heart was beating from the sound of another guard closing in. He ignored the blood on her and wiped his own face with his dying guard's shirt.

He stood up, looking down at the oncoming guards. A tap of his foot and a few hand signs were all Jaivva needed to know what was there.

"Excuse me," said Logan in a calm tone, "Somebody left this door open".

From against the wall, Jaivva remained exposed. Her bow was prepped. It had to have been a split second that the first man walked towards Logan that the second man popped the corner and looked directly at her.

Jaivva fired a bow into the second guard's forehead. The first spun to attack, but Logan jabbed his sword into his heart. A second shot was fired into the second guard's neck just as quickly as Logan stabbed his guard twice in the neck.

"Jesus ninjas are gross," said Kiki.

Vanessa was surprised by how many they killed so quickly without alerting everybody and with minimal communication.

Mimi however was simply proud of her fellow ninja, "That's hashtag ninja g**g right there. You might wanna add that to your i********: Vanessa".

"Logan is a ninja?" asked Vanessa.

The two girls shook their heads without giving a further answer.

Logan's heart stopped watching the second guard's body fall. Jaivva barely caught it in time. She struggled to get it to the room. By the time she did, Logan had brought the other dead guard in as well.

That still left blood splatters around. Both used a piece of clothing from the guards to wipe up the few blood stains before anybody else came. Or at least it wasn't as noticeable. Surely nobody would've been able to walk by and tell there was a death battle two minutes ago.

They shut the door well and evaluated their situation. Honestly, it was pretty easy. Logan was in a commanding officer uniform. That just left Jaivva to change into a guard uniform for that area to escort him safely. Seemed pretty easy.

It would've been easier if they could just take the ceiling there. Unfortunately, the map didn't show any possible way to do so. But they were able to lock the bodies in the treasure chest.

Painless as it was, the two started complaining about how easy the night was going. Their friends watching them were dumbfounded by their energy for the mission. Logan and Jaivva didn't care.

They continued chatting and soon bickering for every guard to hear. Arriving at the target's room, the two of them stood in front of two guards.

Jaivva remained professional, claiming she was escorting the fellow CO to see the commanding general. Officer Uchiha on the other hand, decided to joke a bit with the guards the see if this general was really a d**k.

Shaking her head, Vanessa asked, "Why? Mmm, Why for him, he keeps messing around? Why"?

Kiki thought about it before answering, "He's always been like that. Him, Mike, Mimi".

"Hey," laughed Mimi.

"You used to run around getting other people to do stuff for you," said Kiki.

Mimi responded, "So at least I got it done".

Vanessa continued her rant watching Logan enter into the target's room, "Yes. Buut, he need to be more serious and complete the mission".

"Awe," said Mimi, "I'm glad you still have your little Italian accent. It's so cute".

"I know. My mom loves her," added Kiki.

Just when Vanessa was going to thank them and compliment Ms. Katz, Logan stood before the general alone.

The man was pretty big with a sword longer than Vanessa's. He wore no armor, thank God. But damn those pecs were pretty nice. The best part was Logan walked up like a normal go lucky CO ready to deliver some good news.

A big problem. one clash of metal. The two continued walking towards each other. One singular yelp or moan. Even a thud. Their eyes were locked. If this guy was to come into any form of abnormality, the guards outside would be alerted.

It didn't stop Logan from springing against the general. The two slashed their blades towards one another. In spite of his short sword, Logan punctured through a rib, dodging the general's blade. It wasn't enough.

Logan followed up by throwing a kunai in his neck and dodging a second attack. Just as the sword passed him, he stabbed the general's neck.

He was sure to catch the body and sword, bringing it down slowly to the ground. Maintaining his own breathing, Logan ensured the general was dead before hiding his body.

After a few minutes to catch his breath, Logan walked out as though nothing changed. Jaivva waited patiently for Officer Uchiha. She was surprised the men didn't flatter her. A little awkward just standing there with them.

When Logan walked out, the guards greeted him away. The two walked away calmly as though they were in their own backyard. Not a yell nor an alarm.

Vanessa's cheeks were pressed against her fist as she sat on the ground complaining, "I don't get".

The two were leaving the bathroom and washing their hands.

Mimi cheered again, "Ninja g**g takes the win again".

"Buuuuut, I waaant him to take it more seriously," said Vanessa.

Kiki gave Vanessa a hug, "Don't worry. You can do it. Logan doesn't treat other women the same as you. He actually listens for some reason".

Escaping into the woods, Logan and Jaivva made their way to Oaka. The mission was complete. Two lights came from Oaka's hands and flew into the two assassins.

A simple yet effective aura given. It was a communication link. Jaivva was impressed by this newfound aura. Logan on the other hand was ecstatic.

All he needed now, was a killer technique with Vanessa.
