Who? (Weekend 4/5)

It was the fourth weekend of January. Vanessa was riding her giant hamster like a royal knight. She couldn't think of a way to beat her underwater boss. Not even with Kiki, Nana, nor Mimi's help could she beat it. Dezzy and Dani weren't even gonna bother trying. And Logan was still busy with God knows what. At least she could find food to feed her hamster.
Speaking of hamsters, she wondered where Jeff and Andres had been. She hadn't seen them all month. If she didn't get her limit breaks with them, Dani and Logan would likely be pissed. Especially Logan. Although she did have a gift for him.
A pebble flung at her head. Her glare shot in the direction of the thrower, facing her team leader.
Vanessa squinted her eyes, "Hooow do you do that"?
Jeff walked over smiling, "Oh, so Logan never taught you how to throw rocks at people"?
She shook her head, "Aa- Only how to kill things and toooo play the game".
He pinched at the stone ground, "All you do is pinch a given area where you would find rocks or scoop an area where you would find snow or sand".
She was amazed, "Aaaaahh".
He tossed a pebble at Vanessa, "And then you toss it".
Her death gaze threw him off-topic. Though she was in reality just messing with him.
He laughed, "So where did you get the giant hamster"?
Vanessa stumbled her finger in every way in contrast to her eyes, blushing at the thought, "Aah, well, um-Mhm, Logan made me get my spirit animal".
She held her cheeks with her eyes closed, "Aaand then I got help from the girls to help give me power to make aaaaallll the hamsters big".
Jeff was shocked, "Aaand Logan let you do that"?
She stared deep into his soul, "He helped me".
Jeff's face dropped while taking a few steps back, "Yo... That's unheard of. You really are something, Vanessa".
She held two fists in the air, "I, is, everything"!
He smirked, "Hey, how mad do you think Logan will be if I don't get my limit break with you"?
"Very".
"Wanna go knock that out now before the team dissolves from a fight"?
Her eyes locked away, "Yyyes... What is that"?
Jeff looked over, noticing a glowing disc in the ground, "It's a mine. Kinda like what soldiers put in the ground to blow people up".
Hakim rode up on a hamster, What's up"?
Vanessa answered, "We are looking at a mine".
Hakim took notice of the glowing disc randomly making its way around, "Yeah, be careful of those. There seems to be a few around town".
Jeff was shocked, "Really? You think it's El Chales or the Sisters"?
"Well El Chales isn't here today and the Sisters wouldn't harm their Superhero status. Too much money in it".
Jeff hopped onto Vanessa's hamster before she strolled off towards a staircase.
Hakim followed, "It's probably a prank".
"What do you mean?" asked Vanessa.
"Well it's a game," he answered, "It's not like you're really dying. So some players will make like serial killers and murder random players".
"That is mean".
Jeff nodded over, "Like this guy here".
A man was walking near a ledge when a mine sped up from behind him. Similar to an instant car explosion, the guy's body blew into the air. The hamsters were shaken back by the impact. Even Hakim fell off.
"Why?" asked Vanessa.
"Are you alright Hakim?" asked Jeff.
As Hakim rose to his feet, he spotted more mines in the area, "Yeah, these guys just wanted to be local terrorists for a month".
"I-is mean".
Hakim hopped back onto his hamster, "We should be fine though. The hamster can detect the mines' movements".
"Nice," said Jeff, "That'll come in handy".
They were already stepping away when Hakim added, "Logan beat his individual quest this month. Apparently, he got a magic upgrade".
"I didn't know that," answered Jeff, looking around.
"Soooo, whaaat can he do"?
Hakim shook his head, "Basically he can perform his magic spells easier now and can use some of the ones he needed power boosts for before".
"Hmph, interesting," said Vanessa as she saw something fly over the c***k of the ledge.
It was for a brief moment, but it seemed huge and rectangular.
Another explosion was heard before she asked, "What was that"?
Hakim shrugged his shoulders before sensing out the area, "A titan"?
Jeff froze, "A what"?
"There's a titan down there".
"So we're staying up here," answered Jeff.
"Well... How long do you think that'll work?" asked Hakim.
Jeff rubbed his chin, "I don't know. But I'm not trying to fight a titan".
Hakim sensed it coming up the wall, "Aaand it's coming".
"Rrruuuun!" shouted Jeff.
The hamsters ran for a staircase leading down. A giant card flew, decapitating Hakim's hamster. He broke his fall with a combat roll and looked back.
The titan stood taller than a building. It was grey, with only a pair of red eyes on its face. Its pointy toes reminded Vanessa of a clown along with its other oddly shaped limbs. Cards orbited around the titan. Each with a four-leaf clover decorated on its back.
"Yo, is that a clown or a jester?" asked Jeff.
Hakim shouted, "Mines are ambushing the staircase".
The hamster halted just in time when a number of mines came from the ledge. Hakim also realized that the titan was actually waiting for them to get blown up.
Vanessa steered her hamster further uphill into town with Hakim suffering to keep up.
A card flew at Vanessa. Luckily she was able to access hamster magic prematurely due to being on one.
She created a shield around her hamster that blocked the attack.
The shield cracked to which the titan tossed three more cards at them.
Again, while jumping on a nearby hamster Vanessa ordered to help him, Hakim noticed the mines were focused on her and Jeff again.
She cast another shield, allowing her furbaby to run through the magical mines. Every so many feet she glanced at Hakim who seemed near perfectly safe.
The titan was out of sight, but Hakim could still sense it thoroughly, "It's chasing us ahead"!
"What does it want?" shouted Jeff.
Now catching up, Hakim answered, "It wants you two".
"We'll kill it!" said Vanessa.
