That Quote?

1183 Words
Dani fired her g*n at Teddy. Each bullet smacked against his armor doing no damage. "Oh f**k you," she said. Teddy shifted his lance around himself. A trail of flames followed to create a ring of fire. His stance got lower despite the bullets against him being useless. "Dani, I think we need to try something else," said Jaivva. Dani was stepping away, "Well I remember Logan said there is a way I can win fights like this". With both hands holding the lance tight, Teddy ran into the girls. They felt the flames with each passing step. That flashing red that swirled around his body broke their attention from the daylight. Jaivva used her blades to deflect the swing from Dani. Her arms felt like they were pressed against hot iron. On his next swing, she tried stepping in to hold the blade back. Its heat was burning her body, preventing her from forming hand seals. Before the flames stole her breath, she jumped back. Dani shot Teddy's lance with ice. Jaivva took advantage of his frozen weapon to get close. He high kicked her chest and swung his blade again. She kept trying to get close. But that bald man would just step away and swing right into her. The magic bullets smacking against his torso were of no help. After a couple of swings, his lance was set back in flames. Choosing to avoid the smoke, Jaivva continuously jumped out of his range to lure him away from Dani. "Dani! Aim for the tower!" yelled Jaivva. "Oh that's so smart," said Dani as she charged her g*n. Teddy swung a ring of fire at Dani before swinging at Jaivva again. Jaivva dived in, releasing an ice attack that froze Teddy's Lance. He tossed her aside before fixating on Dani. Her g*n was near fully charged and aimed straight up at the far off tower. It took a lot of energy, but Teddy slammed his frozen lance into the ground to create a magic barrier around the balcony. It was a tough spot for Dani. Shooting Teddy would surely kill her and Jaivva. She aimed her g*n at the furthest corner in the air. The barrier cracked like glass. Shards rained down as Teddy ripped his lance out of the ground, shooting a wave of ice at her. Just as his ice shot out, three red birds of lightning flew into him. Teddy swung his lance through two. One knocked his head back. Jaivva aimed for an opening in his armor's shoulder. She wedged her sword in and yanked him around. He spun himself to punch her back. But Jaivva ducked low and stabbed his back through a small opening. It wasn't deep due to how small of an opening it was. Teddy kicked at her only to have his standing leg kicked away. His fist slammed down into Jaivva. A final stab in his hip released a dark aura in his eyes. Smoke seeped through his armor to shower Jaivva with the darkness from within. As her life was being drained, Teddy began punching her into the ground. Shards were falling on them again. He knew that it meant the barrier was down. Teddy dropped his lance to toss Jaivva away. He rose his palms into the air, creating a black vortex of energy just above his head. "Crap," said Dani as the vortex shot black energy at them. Given her distance, Dani was able to outrun the shooting dark energy. Jaivva on the other hand had mere seconds between hits. Each ball of energy that struck knocked her back as though it took a chunk of her body. She hopped and rolled without a second to get back on her feet. Dani fired back in hopes to destroy the vortex before it killed Jaivva. "Bang bang snake!" shouted Jaivva as her shoulder was blasted. A series of snakes crawled from her leg to Teddy. The vortex exploded into many missile-like energies that struck at the girls. Jaivva was struck to roll in her own blood whereas Dani managed to shoot all of the missiles that came at her. Thinking they were real black snakes, Teddy grabbed his lance and ran. There were too many coming quickly. His body emitted a dark glow right before he swung his lance at the snakes. No matter how hard he swung, they wouldn't die. Dani came mid-range to shoot his head. The snakes latched onto his lance and feet. They immobilized him while a few slipped inside his armor by his legs. At that moment he realized they weren't actual snakes. Rather magic formed as snakes like the rest of Jaivva's magic attacks. "Drain," yelled Teddy in an attempt to absorb the magical snakes. A few by his legs detonated. He watched his leg fly off. "f**k!" he screamed as he fell. He continued to absorb the snakes away. They each detonated a different part of his body. Blood spotted every time he coughed, forcing him to remove his helmet. He turned to his stomach when Jaivva came and punched his face into the b****y ground. "Ight! Ight! Ight! I give!" he spat, "Imma die anyway so just leave me. f**k"! "What do you think Dani?" asked Jaivva as she sat on him. Dani's g*n was fully charged and aimed at the tower, "Teddy, what was that quote"? Despite not being able to feel his body and laying in his own blood, he asked her, "What quote"? "That stupid quote"! "What stupid quote!" he yelled in frustration. Jaivva punched his head for giving attitude. Dani threw her arms trying to remember that quote in her head. She had no words for it except that it was something stupid from a movie or something. It was like a special where the guy would say something and stuff would blow up.  "Whatever," she mumbled before blowing up the tower's defense. Not like glass. More like stone, the magic barrier around the tower crumbled away. It was the second step to achieving their goal and better yet to stick it to the El Chales Team. Dani looked over towards a bridge where she saw Vanessa on the bike riding. It gave her hope that they were going to win. "Oh crap, I just remembered the quote," said Teddy. "Wow! Really!" yelled Dani as she held her g*n to his head. "This is why you're single"! She shot him in the head just before ranting her frustration with everybody. Jaivva laid out in Teddy's blood. She could feel her life draining away. Like a poison that was sucking her soul from the wounds she got. Dani looked over, "Oh yeah, you're dead girl". Jaivva looked at her left hand. Her skin looked like ashes drifting in each passing wind. A hollow feeling was in her stomach. The parts of her skin which weren't ashed yet had black veins going through them. With Jaivva's face being flushed, Dani had one option for her friend. "Sorry girl. Imma end it," said Dani just before shooting Jaivva in the head.
