The Aboleth

1004 Words
Kiki shot a blast of green fire. A covering of mucus absorbed the impact but was still caught on fire. Its tentacles slammed at the two. Large splashes of water nearly covered both Mimi and Kiki. Kiki created a flame shield to set the tentacles on fire whereas Mimi sent a water dragon to clean off some of the mucus from the creature's skin. The Aboleth shook its body to deflect the dragon. After, it swung a tentacle across the lake floor. Swirls of green flames formed to impede the tentacle. The flames grew onto the tentacle. Mucus was stopping it from actually burning it off. The Aboleth's eyes widened onto Kiki. She screamed to the ground from the feeling of having her brain split open. It sucked, but Mimi had to create a shadow dragon to strike the Aboleth's head. The beast shook again to release the pain of having its mind shattered. It eased the effect on Kiki just enough for her to strike its eyes with the flames. Mimi slammed her hands into the mud to raise a series of spiraling water that struck the Aboleth's skin. Much of the mucus was washed away, allowing Kiki to safely strike with her flames. With its body and eyes on fire, the Aboleth knew it was soon dead. It first tried a fatal hurl of its tentacles. One struck near Kiki, splashing some of the water on her. However, there was some mucus mixed in. Mimi struggled a little to keep her balance during its onslaught but managed to keep a considerable distance away from it and the splashes of liquid. Kiki's skin was morphing into fish scales. She even began puking up eggs that shook. Falling back, she made a last attempt to bury her flames deep into the Aboleth's body. Mimi threw a few shurikens into the creature's eyes. It cries excited Mimi. The way it shrieked, throwing itself against the chamber walls. After, she shot out another fire dragon into the Aboleth's head. It was perfect timing to prevent it from warning El Chales of its defeat. Kiki was struggling in the mud. Her vision had already left. The muscles in her arm were retracting as she held it up to kill the oversized eel-fish thing. "Cut off your fire. It dead already," said Mimi. The relief sent Kiki to her back, gasping for air. The scales were taking a while to heal. In the meantime, the scales were burning through the Aboleth. Mimi ran up to its head and called for kiki to perform their limit break. "Steal memory," said Kiki. Mimi's hands glowed with a green aura. She used that aura to invade the Aboleth's memories. There were many for her to choose from. The creature had memories spanning over a thousand years. With a quick look through, Mimi was able to steal its memories from the past few days. She stole them in less than a minute. Afterward, she carried Kiki to a newly opened tunnel. The scales were already gone. Kikie was simply having a migraine from its psionic attack. "Oh God, we have to hurry before Mike finds out," said Kiki, resting her head into her hands. Mimi cracked a potion over her, "I thought it was Teddy who summoned that". "Oh no, Teddy couldn't summon to save his life. Mike is the only one who can actually summon. Carter and Steven have familiars though". "Gotchu," said Mimi while eating chocolate. With her head feeling better, Kiki searched through the memories Mimi stole. "Oh, there's a passage that way. But there is also a bunch of crap for us to fight. Ugh, the things I do for people". "Shut up," said Mimi eating her chocolate, "You know you wanted to do this too". Kiki smiled up on her feet. Mimi halted her to finish eating. When done, she flipped out her two blades and jogged down with Kiki. They avoided coming near any rocks. The encounter rate was pretty low. Maybe a two or three lizardfolks jumped at them. Nothing serious to stress. On the plus side, they reached a stone wall. It was purple like the other wall in the city. Only it had mold and vegetation growing in its cracks. A few hand seals from Mimi opened it up. A small platform was there. "Do you know what's up there?" asked Mimi. "My spy said there will be some water lesser, scrags, aaand, quasits". "Bruh," said Mimi as she activated the platform. It rose as the girls bickered, bringing them to an open floor. A stream of water flowed through with very few bridges to cross over on. Kiki pointed out the walls, "So basically we need to go upstream and open these walls until we activate the main switch that opens all of them". "Nice. Let's go," said Mimi taking the lead. She ran across towards the small bridge when a strand of water aimed for her head. Mimi slid right under and laughed. A water lesser rose up from the ground to attack Kiki. She jumped away, letting Mimi shoot it with a ball of lightning. Simultaneously, Kiki shot a few fireballs at four scrags who just jumped out of the stream. Two jumped back in the water while two stood ready with their pitchforks. One jabbed right into Mimi's spine. The second followed slamming its pitchfork right into her liver. The illusion fell, and the real Mimi slammed her swords into their necks. Another scrag jumped out, only to be ignited by Kiki. The girls ran past them to the bridge where two water lessers popped up. "Stop!" yelled Kiki as Mimi sliced her swords into them. Both lessers stood in place as the girls ran past them. They hooked a left corner, ignoring three scrags the came out behind them, where they saw a glowing sphere. Kiki touched it, causing a few walls to move. The only wall they actually saw move was the one in front of them.
