The stream split before them. To make it worse, the right corner where they needed to go was between the two streams. Then the first bridge took them to the far side where they had to take another bridge to get to the center section. Oh well.

Mimi ran to the first bridge and sliced through a water lesser that rose up. Three little quasits rolled out of the water with five scrags. Kiki noted how cute they were before spreading a sea of flames across.

The scrags jumped in the water to heal whereas the quasits morphed into lizardfolks.

Mimi ran through the flames, given Kiki's flame immunity, and sliced into a morphed quasit. It parried her attack but fell to her blade that was rammed through its gut.

Mimi spun it around to block another morphed quasit's attack. A scrag from the water shot her with a water bullet.

It knocked her into a combat roll, only for two others to shoot her as well.

Kiki kept her distance and burnt one of the quasits. The other attacked Mimi who was barely able to parry. Her blades caught on fire and formed a fire prison around the quasit. That prison shrunk until the quasit was dead.

The scrags were poking their heads out of the water waiting to strike. Easy enough, Kiki created a wall of flames that hid her and Mimi when they ran across the second bridge.

Once across, the scrags were no longer there. The girls ran while keeping an eye out for attacks. That shiny sphere in the wall was just in Kiki's field of vision. To their left and right, hoards of scrags jumped up.

Kiki immediately engulfed everybody in a sea of flames that reached above their heads. The creatures couldn't see well. But Mimi didn't need sight to find them.

She threw a sword straight into a scrag's head. Before it fell, she threw its pitchfork through a lesser and into another scrag.

Another scrag jabbed it pitchfork at her. She easily dodged and swung its weapon away from it.

The scrag scurried for the water when her blade stabbed into its back, acting as a sword hold so she can kick another scrag away.

The scrag she kicked jumped into the water with another to fire water bullets at her.

Mimi created illusions to dodge and countered with shurikens. Both the scrags were fatally struck in the throat and sunk to the bottom.

Two scrags came near. She sliced one in the throat twice and moved to the next. It screamed and stepped away. A lesser attacked her feet. She easily jumped and dodged its follow attack.

"Lightning," she called, causing a small bolt of lightning to blast the lesser from her palm.

At the same time, she stepped back and decapitated the scrag.

The two lesser slid towards her which she gladly welcomed with two lightning jabs as before.

The three remaining scrags were huddled together, allowing Kiki to easily engulf them in a small fire vortex.

"You pressed the button yet?" asked Mimi.

"I been pressed the button. I just don't know what exactly opened.

After grabbing her sword, Mimi brushed off her solo and ran with Kiki out of the room. To their right, was an opening in the wall that wasn't there before.

Inside, they saw a shining sphere on the far wall. A large stream was running through the center of the large room. A closer inspection revealed truffles going down that stream.

"What's in there?" asked Mimi.

Kiki pointed to the engraved image on the wall of a large beast.

"Damn," laughed Mimi, "We need to avoid these little guys then".

The two held hands and walked along the wall. Easy enough. They took it slow to not alarm anything. It was a good thing the room was straight forward and merely long.

Truffles in the water got bigger. From the other room, a large tongue was seen l*****g the water. Thuds would follow every so often as the beast repositioned itself for its drink.

"At least it's not too big," said Mimi reaching the switch.

When pressed, the wall to their right opened. The drinking stopped. The loud thuds hit the other side of their wall. It knew they were coming. 

"I swear to God I always hated Mike," said Kiki.

Mimi laughed, "This is all him"?

"Him and his damn Animal Planet," said Kiki, looking into the room.

There was no switch in sight, nor on the other side of the water. Which meant it should've been close as well. But the moment the girls stepped into the room there were two quasits waiting for them.

Both shapeshifted into Naga serpents with the face of a quasit.

"Ew," said Mimi, running up with her swords.

"They're so cute," said Kiki setting her arms on fire. Their giant horns, ears, and eyes fit so well with the long serpent body.

One of the two morphed quasits came close to Mimi and let out a scream. It irked her ears, leaving her standing in place. The second quasit wrapped around and slammed her into a wall.

Kiki ran to help Mimi, but the first quasit bit at her.

Mimi had dropped her swords but regained mobility. She grabbed a kunai and began tearing into the morphed quasit.

It struck its head at her. She gladly threw the kunai in its eye. It tried to bite her again, but she grabbed its horn and started stabbing it with a second kunai.

Kiki ran around trying to blast the damn naga morphed quasit with fire. It dodged every blast with ease.

Feed up with the nonsense, Kiki created a vortex of fire around the quasit. It grabbed her feet with its tail to strangle her.

A shuriken hit its head. Kiki took that opportunity to slam a fireball in its face. The fireball remained steadily burning in the quasits face even when she removed her hand.

The fireball grew bigger and burnt through its head.

Mimi was still jabbing into her quasit from against the wall. Kiki thought it was hilarious watching her struggle in mid-air.

"What are you doing?" asked Kiki as Mimi pulled out her isekai phone.

"Imma text Craig to give us a break. This is too much and my a*s is up here getting strangled by this thing".

"Wow. You know we have one more chapter"?

"So," said Mimi right before she threw down her phone and smashed her dagger into the quasit's head.

Finally, it was dead, dropping Mimi along with its body.

"I forgot about that stupid scream thing that they do," said Mimi.

Kiki shrugged her shoulders and opened the next wall. The wall to her left slid away.
