CHAPTER 32 | Parker –––––––– “I’ll be back later for the twins,” I tell Aiden, keeping my eyes on my sneakers so I don’t have to look at him. “Give me an hour. Tops.” No response, but I don’t look back. I leave him in bed, closing the door softly behind me and hurrying down the hallway. Downstairs, the tack room is dim and empty, but two grooms are already in the stable aisle, dumping the morning feed into the horses’ buckets and I know they saw me. Ugh. The walk of shame.
