Chapter 5Ciar followed Romeo around Last Hope, watching everything with suspicion. He’d been here two times before, but then he and Draven had gone in the middle of the night. They hadn’t wanted to be around humans, only to have a look around.
First, they walked into the largest building by the town square. Ciar hung back as Romeo talked to a female behind a desk about getting the power switched on at The Moonlight Ranch. She asked Romeo loads of questions, none of which had anything to do with power. She asked if he had a wife and children, if he planned on getting a job in Last Hope, if he was seeing someone, and all the while she was giggling and flipping her hair around.
