After claiming the Ice Star Fragment, Amara, Kael, and Lumo carefully descended the Frozen Mountain of Arkael. The wind was still cold, but their spirits were high. With the fragments from the Lake of the Fallen Star and the Frozen Mountain, the Hidden Key was finally within reach.
Kael held the Star Shard in one hand and the two fragments in the other.
“Now we need to combine them,” he said. “The Star Shard will react to the fragments and reveal how the Hidden Key is formed.”
Amara looked closely at the glowing fragments.
“They look like pieces of a puzzle,” she said. “Do we just… put them together?”
Kael nodded.
“Exactly. But it must be done with care and focus. The Hidden Key is more than magic—it responds to our intentions.”
The three of them sat down on a flat area of ice near the mountain’s base. Kael placed the Star Fragment from the lake and the Ice Star Fragment on the Star Shard. Slowly, the three pieces began to float and rotate, aligning themselves.
Amara reached out her hands instinctively.
“Do you feel that?” she asked. “It’s like they’re… alive.”
Lumo nodded.
“Alive and glowing… and very… sparkly,” he said.
As the fragments hovered over the Star Shard, a soft hum filled the air. The fragments began to glow brighter and moved closer together. Suddenly, a beam of silver light shot upward, forming a glowing star-shaped object in the air.
Kael’s eyes widened.
“That’s it! The Hidden Key!”
The star-shaped key shimmered with brilliant light, floating above the Star Shard. The power coming from it was immense, filling the air with warmth and energy.
Amara stepped closer.
“It’s beautiful… but also… kind of scary.”
Lumo whispered nervously.
“Scary magic? Check.”
Kael carefully reached out and touched the glowing key. Instantly, the fragments locked together perfectly, and the Star Shard sank into the center of the key, stabilizing it.
A voice echoed in the air, soft and powerful:
“THE SEEKERS HAVE PROVEN WORTHY.”
Amara gasped.
“Who’s speaking?”
Kael shook his head.
“I don’t know… but it feels… protective.”
The Hidden Key floated steadily now, shining like a small sun.
But before they could celebrate, a shadow fell over the mountain. Dark clouds swirled above, and a cold, familiar laugh echoed through the air.
“Finally… you have reached the key,” Lord Varyn said, appearing at the edge of the mountain. His red eyes burned with anger.
Amara clenched her fists.
“We’ve been waiting for you,” she said.
Kael held the Hidden Key tightly.
“This ends now, Varyn. You won’t take it.”
Lumo peeked nervously from behind Kael.
“And please, try not to melt the mountain this time.”
Lord Varyn raised his hand, and a massive wave of dark energy shot toward them.
The sky darkened completely, and the wind howled like a furious beast.
Kael held the Hidden Key high, and it began to glow brighter, forming a protective barrier around them.
Amara looked at the glowing key.
“This is it… the power to stop him.”
Lumo swallowed nervously.
“Yeah… let’s hope it’s enough.”
The final battle for the Hidden Key had begun. 🌟⚡📖
