Beautiful Curse

It was a cold and windy day in Bulawayo but she had laundry to sort so she had no choice but to get her ass out of bed early that morning as freezing as it was Avyanna didn't want to disappoint her friend Clair. Clair had asked if she can go to Harare with her the next day to visit her family from her mothers side. Avyanna knew right then that saying yes to her friend will mean she had to do her laundry because she is one hell of a lazy woman she only gives her clothes attention when she sees that shes only left with a few outfits and she has to go somewhere. Avyanna stays with her grandmother,brother, aunt and her sister though her sister is hardly home since she is now engaged to be married by the love of her life. She had a lot lot of convincing to do for her grandmother to allow her to go as far as Harare with just a friend hence the laundry she knew her grandmother would be happy that she is finally sorting that out and not lazing around like she jas no chores at all. When she was done with her laundry she walked to her grandmother's room so she can talk to her about going to Harare, before she could even knock on the door her grandmother called out for her "Avy!!", she just opened the door entered the ro without saying anything " wenziwa yini ukungasabeli ngikubiza (why aint you responding when am calling you)?" She lets out a slight chuckle "Awu gogo hanti besengisemnyango vele ( aww granny isnt i was already by the door)" "okay what are you up to I need you to do my hair" Avyanna smiled thinking this was just her perfect chance to soften her grandmother "Okay i just finished laundry let me get the comb i will be right back" Meanwhile Chad was on the phone with his son " Dad, when are you coming back to America, Zim can't be that amazing its been what 6 months and you are still not back am i wanted to know something " "Chase you know am working and there is nothing you need to know i am coming home soon buddy" "Okay dad anyway bye i was just checking up on you" He chuckles " Boy i should be the one checking up on you and before you go is everything okay, are your siblings okay and how is your mother" "We are all fine and why are you asking me about your wife shouldnt you know how she is always" this boy is too much, he says to himself. He just says its good that theyre all fine and just hangs up totally ignoring what his son said ********* Avy was still doing her grandmothers hair when her brother Antony shouted from the kitchen "wena Avyanna buya la! Where is my food? (come here) Avyanna and her grandmother just giggled ignoring the angry Antony because they both knew who took the food. Antony was still shouting when granny told her to stop making noise in her house and stop scaring the poor child " mtshele gogo ( tell him granny)" "lawe ubudlelani kodwa ukudla kukamnewenu uyamazi nje ubuya elambile everytime he goes out even if its for a second ( why did you eat your brothers food though you know he comes back hungry)" "Gogo uClair ungicele ukuthi ngihambe laye eHarare kusasa uthe siyaphenduka ngeweekend uvakatshela umamakhe ( granny Clair asked me to go to Harare with her she is visiting her mother)" there she goes !! She has been meaning to tell her but she was scared because her grandmother is just unpredictable not that she is scary and she never allows her to go out but you would never know with her so she just didnt know how to tell her and if she was going to allow her to go or not. " Are you telling me or you asking for permission to go" s**t! Her grandmother is making things hard for her because she doesnt even know how to answer that and she is definitely not one to beg so if she says no then thats it she is not going anywhere "am asking for permission to go" her grandmother goes quiet for a while and says Okay you can go for as long as you promise to behave " i will behave i promise" "Am not worried because you are just going to Harare there are a lot of Shonas there and i know you dont know that language" ******* It was getting dark and Natasha was now getting scared all alone in front of Hashtag club waiting for her boyfriend to come pick her up.She tried calling him again and he still didn't answer. 'God am only 19 I don't want to die Lord it's dangerous in town please save me I promise I will behave from now on' she said to herself "beautiful girls don't cry so why are you disappointing me" she was startled by a deep and husky voice in the dark while she was about to call her boyfriend again "I... I want to go home but I don't have money for transport someone is supposed to pick me up bu.." Chad just cut her before she could explain more "come I will drop you off, how old are you and where do you stay?" I am 21..she lied ...I stay in Pumula North Chad just needed to go to the club and get one w***e to f**k then go back home but seems like his ancestors were on a mission he met this beautiful mamiwota before he could even get inside the club and he was not going to let her go nomatter what.One thing was stressing him, his age but he convinced himself that he was so handsome he didn't even look his age so he'd probably lie about it but he just knew he wanted that girl little did he know that Natasha wouldn't mind his age at all. "Are we going or not please I am getting late my little brother is alone" Chad immediately snapped out of his thoughts and gave her a quick stare "Yes princess we are living give me the direction" Natasha smiled and directed her to her home and that was it the rest of the drive was quiet till he parked outside Natasha's gate "please call your number on my phone and you owe me lunch after saving you from the dangerous streets of Bulawayo" Natasha quickly dialed her number on Chad's phone and walked inside the gate "Babe I didn't get your name" Chad shouted and Natasha just screamed "Natty" back and disappeared Chad decided to just go home and keep himself busy with a bit of work while thinking about Thee Natty he just met today.He could ready see she was the forward type and all that in a good way it actually turned him on. ******** The next morning Avy woke up early and got ready to go to Harare with Clair, she was so excited because it'd be her first time and as much as she didn't like the language spoken by most there she knew it was a great place to be for a weekend. "Wena Avyanna phuma lapho kunini umngane wakho ekulindile kanti ugebhani (Avyanna get out your friend has been waiting for you here what are you even digging)" Avy rushed out with her traveling bag and a small purse where she kept her toiletries. "Bye gogo" the granny just ignored her because in as much as she allowed her to go she knew she was going to miss her the minute she walks out of that door but she couldn't say no. Avyanna rushed out with her friend to the car waiting for them just outside the gate and they soon drove off. Meanwhile Natasha was busy scolding her little sister who is just 16 for not sleeping at home the previous day "Molly uzalandela umamakho khathesi sengimtshelile Mina ukuthi uyafeba why didn't you come back home yesterday and where did you even sleep!!? ( you will follow your mother now when I tell her that you're whoring around) " Sorry sis I was with Nicole and Beauty at their place I think I might have lost track of time and it was too late for me to come back " Molly said getting her sister more angry because she knew she was lying but she got saved by her sister's ringing phone so she just walked out while her sister answered the call from an unknown number "hello" she said completely annoyed "ohww wait why the coldness" "ohhh sorry I didn't know it was you and am just having a bad day" "wow sorry for the bad day but you still owe me so can we go out tonight I want to tell you something" she secretly smiled revealing her cute teeth making her look more beautiful "ohhh okay I will be waiting" Later that evening "Natty got inside the car smiling" "You good?" "Yes I'm fine thanks" The drive to Chad's house was silent until they got to the house and Chad asked if she can offer her anything to drink and Natty just nodded and said anything is fine Chad went and got her a glass of wine and gave it to her while he got himself that too and went back to sit next to her in the couch "So you won't ask my age nothing" she giggled a bit and that just turned him more on she had never seen such a beautiful girl, carefree and bubbly she just melt her heart and damn it felt good "do you want to tell?" He chuckled a bit "Well I'm 35 divorced with 3 kids" he lied to her and she seemed to believe him but what shocked him is the way she was so calm...could it be that she doesn't mind or does she think am lying?...he was asking himself those questions but he waited for her to say something "Okay Mister" Chad popped his eyes out in shock "Is that all you are going to say child" "Yes Sir do you want me to perhaps kill the kids and ex wife no ways" that got him laughing but then again they were not on a relationship so he had to make her his first. ****** "Avyanna mwanangu chipikira mai vako mazai unoziva ka kuti ndomafarira sei ukamapika" Avy just smiled at her friend's mother and went to the kitchen to start making eggs for her. She got lost in thoughts all alone thinking about how Clair's mother made her feel,She has always treated her like her own daughter and that made her not to feel the gal because she didn't know her mother nor had she seen her once. Avyanna's parents died in a car accident on the day she was born.His father and mother were separated well that's what she was told.Her mother divorced her father when her brother was 3 and her sister was 7, she didn't know that she was pregnant with Avyanna that time but when she found out she was pregnant his father knew it could be his so he didn't deny the baby instead he supported her till she gave birth.It is said that her parents were so much in love but they just couldn't be together freely because of their age distance and because both their parents didn't apprkve, it was only a gap of 11 years between them but they still loved each other.They had many downs more than ups in their relationship so it was draining because they both couldn't stand up for themselves to the society and families but as soon as Avy was in the picture they started getting along again and they wanted to fix things to them their daughter had brought them back together so on the day she was born they both dropped Avy home where she stayed with her mother and kids. **** Flashback**** "Ma bengisacela ukuphuma loNokukhanya nje siye eduze ngifuna ukukhuluma laye kancane uyabuya khathesi (ma may I please take Nokukhanya with I need to talk to her we won't go far she will be back soon) Avyanna's granny just nodded holding her granddaughter in her hands nothing else matters she was just happy and excited for the new addition Nokukhanya walked out with her ex husband Mpumelelo to his car and he drove out " Where are you taking me Mpume I just gave birth please say your peace and take me home" Mpume just smiled staring at her "I love you Nono, I love you so damn much and that is what I want to tell you" that took her by surprise because as much as she loved him too she didn't expect to hear it at that moment so she kept quiet waiting for him to say something again to prove that she's not dreaming "Nono I can't take it anymore, what example are we setting for our kids if we can't stand our ground, please lets fix this i want my happy family back Babe you just gave me a daughter and she made me realise we can do this please say something" Nokukhanya just smiled with tears streaming down her cheeks, she was just overwhelmed with her emotions all over " Mama womuzi please talk to me " she just cried and that got Mpumelelo more worried he didnt even see the robot had turned red. "I love you too Mpume i never stopped lets go back home and fix our family" she said a few seconds later after gathering herself. "I love you MaMthembo" he said looking at her and she saw the frown on her face and before he could make out what it was for there was a loud sound and he was hit by a speeding truck and he just lost control of the car "f**k!!! Nono!! wait please dont leave me" he said with a pained and panicking voice ignoring his own pain on his chest, he had never been so scared in his life, scared of losing his love.He was losing a lot of blood and strength but he just wanted to make sure Nono was okay before closing his eyes "I love you Mpume and i will always love you am here with you am not leaving you" Nokukhanya said with a rather calm voice but she too was scared and in a lot of pain, her head had hit hard on something and she was bleeding but she knew this was it she was dying and she could feel it but she was happy she'd die looking at the love of her life and after telling him how much she loves him. "I love you" they said almost at the same time and took their last breath holding hands. The police and paramedics were too late they were both dead and it was so sad because they left a newborn at home ****14 years later**** Chad walked inside the house with a big cake and gifts "Ma where is My Angel"? she asked Avynna grandmother putting down everything he came with " Avy!!!" Her grandmother called and as soon as Chad heard her sweet little voice his heart beat faster than normal, it had been months since he heard that voice, it was as if his heart was about to come out of his chest and run to Avyanna "Stop it Chad, she's just a child, my child at that" he repremanded himself just as Avynna ran to him and gave him a hug. God what was this girl doing to him,she was only 14 and he was married for goodness sake, Avy tried to pull out of his strong arms but he didnt let him, he hugged him more tighter and whispered "i missed you baby" and her heart melt Chad had been her only parent ever since she was born and she loved him so much as her father and mother Chad let her go and gave her the cake and presents "Happy birthday my Angel, uncle C loves you a lot uyezwa" Avy didnt even hear him she was now busy with her presents and her granmother was already eating the cake and as for Anita and Antony Avyannas siblings they were just outside in the garden planting another flower as theyve been doing the past years, as sad as it was they had to be there for their little sister because as much as it was the day their parents died it was also their sister's birthday itd be unfair fo them to be sour and sad instead of celebrating the day and making it special for Avy.Every year on this day they plant a flower im the garden as a way of thanking and remembering their parents.They sat there chatting about what they had planned for Avy and how they were going to finally tell her this was the same day their parents died without making her feel bad and hate her birthday. Meanwhile in the house Chad slightly laughed at his stupidity thinking about what he just said to Avy "uncle C" he never uses that and Avy calls him daddy or her Angel Now why did he say that? It made her feel less guilty for having feeling for Avy so saying "daddy loves you" sounded somehow to him hence he said uncle C.Antony and Anita's screams snapped him out of it.They both hugged him not believing he was finally here after a long time.
