The Lady in Red

It is just any other day for Senior Inspector Jamieson Wick. When he wakes up every morning, he does his ‘daily routine’ of getting up, cooking his food throughout the day, and feeding his dogs. One would describe Jamieson as stern and strict. His immediate family even said to him that, that is the reason why he is still single at the age of 29. “What has my life become,” Jamieson thought, and shook his head. He looked at his dogs and said, “I guess I am lucy enough to have you two.” As a teen, Jamieson wasn’t sad and strict. He was this typical teenager, he liked girls, liked going out and hanging out with his friends. Jamieson was in his last semester in his senior year, he met Jenise. Jamieson really liked Jenise, and when his friends introduced him to this girl, Jenise then said he also liked him. The both of them dated until they were in their third year in college. Jenise said she’s done with Jamieson. She said that she only dated him for the sake of his popularity in high school. Jamieson wasn’t into sports, but was into literature. Jamieson was popular back then because of how he’s good with words. Girls loved that then, and that was why Jenise said yes to him. Jenise explained this to Jamieson.  And since then, Jamieson was never the same. He still loved literature, but was scared that he’d get hurt again. Jamieson packed his bags and patted his dogs a good-bye.   At work, Jamieson is always busy. But this wasn’t his dream job, he wanted to teach literature. He wanted to spread his love for words, but the circumstance made him turn his head to criminology.  He was in his third year in college when he decided to change his course.  He wanted something different. No one in his family questioned his decision, because they saw how much Jamieson loved Jenise and how devastated he was when they have broken. Jamieson loved to stay out late at work. That is why even at a young age he is now a senior inspector. He goes home late, and at home, he would just read some books and then sleep.
