Prelude
Later that night, on wednesday evening, my father and I had an argument. It was big to the point that he slapped me twice on the face. I did not cry. I held it in. I don"t want to satisfy him. My mother was busy cooking to give a f**k about our little commotion. "If you really don"t need our help anymore... pack your things and walk out the goddamn door!" His voice boomed in the four corners of our living room; I bet it reached the entire neighbourhood. It was laced with vehemence. I was left speechless. I mean who wouldn"t? I stopped arguing, he was still talking though. I didn"t know what he was saying that time because my mind wandered somewhere else. Where should I go? Hmmm... let me see: I can"t go to Min Ra Ya"s house, I told her earlier to never step foot in our house ever again. I can"t also go to Ah Shin Joy"s house, it"s not even her house in the first place. That leaves me to Bo Re Si"s house, but, they"re on a vacation, plus her house is far. It"s not a walking distance from ours, unlike Ra ya and Shin Joy"s. My sister Oh Ha Ra is living in Busan with her husband and son, while my other sister, Go Ah Na is in Gyeonggi; our eldest, Cha Ri Sa, is unfortunately living with us. "Your friend is a waste of space! Her mere existence is a curse!" That snapped me back from reality. I felt my blood boil and my brain unable to respond, heck I can"t even process it. Suddenly the machine started to work again. The first thing that I did was go inside the room. I saw two perso: Ri Sa-unnie and her boyfriend, Tiu Jo Xing. My sister was asleep and he was reading a bible. I sneered at his sight and went directly to the storage box where backpacks are hidden. I rummaged for my bag then tears starts falling. I sobbed for I couldn"t held the pain my throbbing heart felt. It feels like a new scar opened at that moment. "Let her be! Don"t stop her!" My father"s voice revertebrated. I saw no one when I turn my back. Ha! Jo Xing told me to my father. Well, whatever! This is what he wanted in the first place. He better not stop me. When I"m done stuffing things inside my bag, I quickly got out of the room. "Don"t ever show your face in front of me again!" He pointed an accusing finger at me, his tone challenging and furious. With tears streaming down my face, I gave him a firm yes that I know I couldn"t even keep because, I tend to break promises.
