The subtle blue glow of the walls lit the way for Amy. After bidding goodbye to her husband the King, she spun on her heels and drifted across the halls like a tortured ghost. Whatever had happened to the plans of going home? she wondered as she dragged one foot in front of the other. The mess that she got into became so unmanageable that she lost sight of her goal. Though it was always at the back of her mind haunting her every now and then, she knew that it wasn’t going to be a priority anytime soon. She missed her parents, her job and even her cat Mattie.
