Over a hundred palms had struck Benny's face, leaving it a bloody, swollen mess. His features were barely recognizable beneath the bruising and split skin. Blood dripped from his nose and mouth as he struggled to form coherent words.
Despite his injuries, Benny crawled toward me on his hands and knees. His movements were jerky and pained, leaving a trail of blood droplets on the ground. The sight was pathetic.
