This world has the brightest and most glorious cities, but also the most unknown and vast underground criminal network. In early autumn, a fateful disaster forced Sophia into that dark world.

The man who broke into Sophia‘s hotel room said to her: "Good girl, I will give you an unforgettable night." He took her virgin that night.

Then, on Sophia's wedding day, also this man took her hand, shot and killed her fiancé, who was also his own elder brother. He became the new King of Maifia. At night, he pushed Sophia onto the bed, laughing wildly, "Sister-in-law, are you an FBI undercover?"

Chapter 1: The Bride... Killed The Groom?
Chapter 1: The Bride... Killed The Groom? (Sophia's POV) The "Gates of Heaven" church on Italy's Amalfi Coast was stunning. Under different circumstances, I might have enjoyed it. Today, it was my prison. Black and white decorations filled the church. My only color came from the red roses in my shaking hands. I forced a smile, but my eyes showed the truth—I was trapped. Vincent Moretti, the next Don of the Moretti crime family, stood beside me. His hand gripped mine tightly, his gold ring gleaming in the sunlight. My mind went back to last year, when everything changed. I was working at a nightclub when Vincent's man spotted me. My pretty face caught his eye. Soon, I was on a plane to Italy, delivered to Vincent Moretti like property. For months, I played my part. I became whatever Vincent wanted. Two months ago, Vincent prepared for a deal in Russia. I told him I was pregnant and suggested we marry. I hoped marriage would disgust him—he already had a wife. Instead, he agreed happily. He let me visit A Country for my mother's death anniversary. I planned to vanish forever and scheduled an abortion. Then Vincent called on the day of my appointment. He'd found me. "Do you, Sophia Reed, take Vincent Moretti as your husband?" Father O'Connor asked. I swallowed hard. "I do." The words felt like poison. Vincent put a huge diamond on my finger and kissed me as guests cheered. I turned away, accidentally looking at a handsome man in the front row. Alessandro Moretti, Vincent's half-brother. Unlike the others in black suits, he wore gray with a family pin on his lapel. He caught my eye and smiled knowingly. "Don't worry, baby," Vincent whispered. "I'll keep my promise. You'll have our child, and I'll care for you both." Pain hit my chest. Vincent already had a wife—Tina Blackwood, daughter of Earl Theodore Blackwood, a British crime lord. They controlled criminal networks across continents. After years of marriage, Tina had given Vincent no children. I had hoped to escape to A Country. Now I was trapped in Italy, tied to a monster. A gunshot broke the silence. Guests screamed and ducked. Only Alessandro stayed calm, playing with a silver gun in his chair. "What the hell?" Vincent demanded, his face red with anger. Alessandro stood and walked to us. He pressed the gun to Vincent's head casually. "Congratulations on your wedding, brother," he said softly. Vincent's guards reached for weapons but stopped when they saw red dots on their chests. Snipers had surrounded the church. "Brother, I'm going to kill you," Alessandro said with a cold smile. Vincent looked shocked. "Why? I've always trusted you. I even let you choose this wedding place." "I want to be king of our empire," Alessandro replied simply. Vincent laughed bitterly. "You think you can handle what I've built?" Alessandro's face darkened. He grabbed Vincent's throat and slammed him to the floor hard. A guard tried to help, but Alessandro's men kicked him away. The guard's gun fired, tearing through my dress. I fell back, frozen with fear as Alessandro came closer. He knelt beside me, tearing lace from my dress to wipe blood from his hands. His eyes met mine—cold yet curious. "Kill them all," he ordered, standing up. Gunfire filled the church. Screams mixed with the sound of bullets as blood sprayed across the decorations. The smell of blood mixed with roses as my wedding day turned to horror. Over fifty guests and Father O'Connor lay dead. Vincent's face changed as he realized what was happening. All his trusted people were gone in minutes. Alessandro had planned everything perfectly. Vincent finally understood. "You've been planning this for years," Vincent whispered. Alessandro smiled with satisfaction. "Longer than you think, brother." Vincent thought of all the warnings he'd ignored. His father had cautioned him about Alessandro. His lieutenants had died mysteriously. Even Tina had warned him once: "Your brother watches you like prey." I had also mentioned feeling uneasy around Alessandro. Vincent had thought I was jealous. Vincent laughed bitterly. Even facing death, he stayed calm. He closed his eyes, waiting. "I'm waiting for you in hell," he said. Alessandro grabbed me by the neck, his fingers digging into my skin. He pushed me in front of Vincent. "Let's make this interesting," Alessandro said. His hand slid down my wedding dress, fingers moving along my skin. I tried to move away, but he held me tighter. He touched my back slowly, making sure Vincent saw everything. "Please don't," I begged, trembling. Alessandro enjoyed my fear. His fingers pressed harder, warning me not to resist. "Get your hands off her!" Vincent yelled, finally losing his cool. Alessandro ignored him. He leaned close to my ear, breathing in my scent. He noticed my slightly swollen stomach and pressed the gun against it. "Sister-in-law," he mocked. "You're about three months pregnant, aren't you?" I tried to control my fear. "Alessandro, please be reasonable," I pleaded. "Call me brother-in-law," he demanded, pressing harder. "Brother-in-law," I whispered. "Please." Alessandro smiled and kissed my cheek wetly. "Good girl." Vincent's face twisted with rage seeing the gun against my stomach. "Don't hurt them," he warned. "The child is innocent. Remember Father's teachings about family." The mention of their father changed Alessandro completely. His eyes turned ice-cold. "Father?" he spat. "The man who kept me in shadows? I was the bastard son doing dirty work while you got everything." Vincent sneered. "Without our family name, you'd be nothing but a slum bastard. Everything you have comes from me and Father." Alessandro laughed harshly. Vincent used the moment to grab a fallen gun. He aimed at his brother's head. Alessandro didn't flinch. He whistled to stop his men and pulled me against him as a shield. "Look at that," he said happily. "First time you've ever pointed a gun at me." Vincent's hand was steady. "Let Sophia go. Give my child a chance." Alessandro looked disgusted. "You don't care about her—only your heir." He gripped my neck and forced me forward. He kicked Vincent's gun away, then put his own weapon in my hands, forcing my finger onto the trigger and aiming at Vincent. "No, please," I struggled against him. "Alessandro, stop!" His lips touched my ear. "A man who only values you for your child deserves death, don't you think?" Tears ran down my face. "Please, be reasonable." "Do you care for him?" Alessandro demanded. "No! I'm just scared," I sobbed. Alessandro guided my hand. "Then pull the trigger. End your nightmare." I shook my head. "I can't." Vincent tried to stand, but Tony—Alessandro's man—pushed him down with his boot. Alessandro tightened his grip on my hand. "Let me tell you something, brother," he called to Vincent. "Your bride and I have history." Vincent's eyes widened. "We were intimate," Alessandro continued. "That child might not even be yours." "Is this true?" Vincent demanded. I stammered, "The baby is yours, Vincent. I swear." "What about the rest?" Vincent asked. I couldn't answer. My silence was enough. Alessandro smiled triumphantly. "Remember the Ritz-Carlton in Harbor City? Room 2808, about a year ago?" Alessandro paused deliberately and kissed my cheek: "I f**ked you to the heaven, you moaned so loudly, have you forgotten?" Vincent's face filled with rage as he understood. "You've been working with him all along," he snarled at me. "You treacherous b***h!" Fury gave Vincent strength. He threw off Tony's foot and lunged at me, hands reaching to kill. "I'll kill you!" he roared. "Bang—" The gunshot was deafening. I froze, all color draining from my face. I couldn't breathe. My mind went blank as I stared at the blood and that face—eyes wide open in death, staring accusingly at me.
