(Sophia's POV)
I pressed my hands against the car window, my eyes wide with disbelief as I watched the mushroom cloud of fire rising in the distance. The Golden Valley compound was completely engulfed in flames, the explosions creating a spectacle that looked like something straight out of an action movie.
"It's like special effects," I whispered, mesmerized by the destruction.
The orange glow reflected on my face through the window. I couldn't tear my eyes away from the sight. Part of me felt relieved that the place where I'd been held captive was being reduced to ashes.
