The Lawson Series Book 1

Greyson Lawson owns and runs Lawson Inc along with his younger brother William. Together they are a force to be reckoned with in the business world. Having to care for his younger brothers, especially Luke, has taught him to be ruthless to all except his brothers in the business industry, for he had to step up and take on the role of both mother and father at the tender age of sixteen,

April Lancaster works at Jo's Cafe along with her baby brother Isiah. Having to grow up fast has taught her that nothing comes to you without sacrifices and that you can't expect anyone to carve your way for you. She may not have a flashy life or anything fancy but she has the love from her brothers.

What if Greyson happens to stop by Jo's Cafe on his way to work and gets blinded by the beauty that is April? What happens when he wants to give her the world when she's learned to never depend on those around her; except the occasional help from family members?

This is a story of how two separate and different lives come together, yet they are not so different as it turns out.

Greyson Lawson is the CEO of Lawson Inc. and he has a reputation for being ruthless and dominating, but that's not the full truth. You see, Greyson has a soft side to whom he only shows his brothers. When he is with his brothers he is kind, caring, and loving a side of him that the public never sees. When Greyson was young his father walked out on his mother, him and his little brother William, only to come back six years later and have a one night stand with his mother leaving her pregnant with his baby brother Luke, and their father never returned leaving Greyson's mother in a state of depression. After a while, Greyson's mother couldn't take the depression and eventually took her own life just six months after Luke was born. Greyson and his brothers were put into the foster care system and were luckily kept together. Greyson knew that he didn't want this type of life for his siblings so he stepped up and graduated High school and College by the age of sixteen. After he graduated he was able to land a job work at a company name Wallace Inc. headed by Mike Wallace. He knew that in order to accomplish this he would need to be stern and gain respect amongst his peers. Once he was able to fully support himself he was granted full custody over William and Luke, who were very happy to be out of the system. Greyson sacrificed his childhood so his brothers could keep theirs. While he was working full time and taking care of Luke, who was four at the time, he was able to help Will with his studies when he needed a little extra help. After a year of working at Wallace Inc. Greyson was promoted to Vice President, for his outstanding work and maturity, plus within a year he was able to raise the Gross Income by sixty percent, having the best year ever. Another year passed and Greyson was made the CEO because Mr. Wallace was retiring and he didn't have any children to pass the company down to and he couldn't think of anyone more deserving than Greyson. He renamed the company Lawson Inc. and from then on was known as a demon in disguise. ~~~~~~ April Lancaster didn't have a childhood of luxury, tho better then most, when she was five years old her dad died of a heart attack four months before her little brother Isiah was to be born. When Isiah was born their mother died due to complications of childbirth. April and Isiah were raised by their older brother Jeff, who was fifteen when their parents passed. Since she was raised moderately okay she knew that spending money was a bad choice, especially when you didn't have it in the first place. April knew how hard it must be on Jeff and wanted to lessen some of the burdens on him, so when April turned fourteen she found herself a job at Jo's Cafe'. With her working, they had more money coming into the house and she tried to give it to Jeff but he didn't except it and told April that since she earned that money she needs to keep it and do what she wants with it. So she decided to save all of her paychecks so she could send both her and Isiah to college when the time arose. When April was in her Senior year of High Scholl she decided not to attend college and keep working. April didn't want to attend anymore because she would be far from home and she didn't want to leave her brothers behind. So, she kept on working at Jo's Cafe'.
