“Oh, no what am I going to do, she is coming this way and she may ask why I have constantly been glancing at her the whole time” Have to run or stay. This thought passed through his head presently. He was uneasy with Stephanie coming to him. But Cayden on his path wasn't ready to make Stephanie one of his friends, just yet. However, he had no other option than to do it. Regardless, the way he gazed at her, brought another thought to the mentality of others who were not able to Stephanie for themselves. Cayden wasn't sure if he was going to be in another romantic saga. “Hi, Cayden!” She talked to him with a smile on her face the whole time. “Hey, Stephanie, that's your name, right?” “Yes, it's” she replied to him. “So tell me what are you doing here Stephanie?” Cayden inquired about her tendency. “I'm just here to say thank you, I meant to say thanks for the help you gave me earlier. It comforted our minds, my dad and I are grateful for your help.” She appreciated his help. Just after she spoke Cayden gave an instant reply to her. “Come on, I don't have a problem with helping you, we are cool” At that time, Stephanie was about to leave the cafeteria, but she noticed Cayden's uncomfortable behavior towards her, Yet she was okay with it. Shortly as she walked past Cayden, she said to him, “Okay, I'd be going now, perhaps you and I could do some catching up whenever you are free to talk.” She left the spot. “But…” He mumbled, he did not finish talking because, by the time he tried talking she was already gone, he bent down to sit on the cafeteria chair. Soon after, days became weeks, and weeks became months, Cayden harbored a few feelings for Stephanie, which eventually grew stronger with Time. He saw her almost everywhere he went. But he wasn't going to let her know he was falling for her because of the two classes. He made a vow to never let Stephanie know about his emotions toward her. He knew his parents were not going to accept her because she was middle class and they were first class. Wherever he sees her talking to others, male he gets really mad at them. His aggressive behavior came to be very alarming. Cayden worked out of the classroom. He went consecutively to his locker room to prepare for the school lacrosse team game, but before he could start the game, practiced. He was called by the principal through the speaker which was placed in the school hallways, it was used to pass messages to the students. Immediately after the call, he got up and made his way to the principal's office. He got to the front of the door, then he knocked. He waited for the response of the principal. “Come in!” The principal responded to Cayden. So he got into the office. “Welcome, Cayden, have a seat, but please close the door behind you.” Cayden did exactly what the principal instructed, by shortening the door. He sat down. The principal took a moment of silence, then looked straight at Cayden. He pulled his spectacles down and looked closely at Cayden for the second time; But just then he put them up and brought out the file of Cayden, and opened it, after he had gone through them and was finally finished with the files, the two of them began talking about his new attitude “Martin's Cayden you have a good report, so what's going on with you of late, I meant to say with the new girl Stephanie” There wasn't any response from Cayden. “Cayden! Listen to me, this new behavior of yours could affect your grades. I hope you know that?” “Yes, I know all about that, but I'm sorry by the way, I didn't know what came over me” Cayden instantly pleaded for a second chance to get over his feelings. After the discussion was done he left the office, went to the parking lot, entered his car, and was about to drive out when he coincidentally saw Stephanie along the roadside but there weren't any vehicles. He drove close to her to ask if she needed a lift home. So he slid to the sidewalk where Stephanie was standing and stopped. Stephanie did not budge from where she was standing. The driver Cayden engaged the reverse gear and came to a stop just beside Stephanie. He pressed the control button and the passenger window slid downward. “Stephanie, do you need a ride home?” Stephanie was really surprised to see Cayden; she never thought he was the one driving. “Yeah, that would be nice!.” Stephanie immediately gave Cayden a reply. She opened the door to the passenger seat and entered. She instantly shut the door gently behind her. “Thanks, Cayden, I needed the ride home”, she said. “So who were you waiting for?” He politely asked Stephanie who she was waiting for. “My dad, he promised to pick me up from school when he was done with work, so I waited for him, but he didn't show like he always does” “You're new and we haven't been able to get to know each other. I promise to make it up to you. And I'm sorry for behaving like a duck lately” “Come on Cayden I'm cool with you, do you haven't given me a reason why you did so, it's okay” Cayden's whole heart was feeling better after hearing the acceptance of his apologies. He drove the car in for a couple of minutes and then said, “Do you care if I turn up the music on the car?” She agreed with what he told her. Therefore the music was turned on and there was a very joyous essence in the car no one wanted to spoil it. He increased the acceleration of the car and brought down both windows and played some romantic songs throughout the ride. At Stephanie's house, she got out of the car, then bent over to the window of the car, “So this is it, thanks for the ride I enjoyed the music, can I maybe get a handshake from you” She wrote down her number on Cayden's hand and then gave him a sine of calling; this indicated that he should call her. Then she left and Cayden drove off. She got into the house and saw her mum standing in front of her, smiling at her. She was directly curious to know why her mom was smiling at her, and she said, “Why are you chuckling mum, what went on?” “Was that your boyfriend?!” She gave no replies to the question which had been asked. “Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?” She took a moment of silence, then immediately gave her mum an answer “He isn't my boyfriend's mum, he's just a friend, so don't expect anything from it, hmmm, you know what mum? I'm really tired and I have to take my bath, I'll be down shortly after thank you!” Afterward, she left her mum and went to her room upstairs. ****** It was Monday daylight, in the high school in Boston, the students were all over their lockers readying for lesson hours when they all received a loud shocking announcement.
