Chapter 1.
“Ahh…ah!”Cayden screamed and woke up frightened, gasping for breath, his heart also throbbing within his chest. A month ago, there was cold darkness in the city of Los Wellington when angry protesters went on a rampage. They were, however, brought under control, within a short time. There appeared in the sky, very bright moonlight and starlight, tires were seen still burning, some already burnt roads into ashes, while the streets of the city were littered with papers, broken bottles, placards, and sticks used by the protesters. Other items such as pieces of clothes were also seen on the street. Some of the placards read thus: “FIND THE KILLERS AND AVENGE THEIR DEATH.” Police sirens were heard in places around the city. The city was under curfew, nobody was seen moving around. Blood stains were noticed on some of the abandoned placards on the street. People remained indoors for fear of being apprehended as police were all over the place with their vehicles and at the same time armed to their teeth. Not too long, The following night. When the full moonlight and starlight in the sky were covered by dark-tinted clouds. The illumination of both the moonlight and the starlight was brought to an end. The angry Mobs began the protest again. But this time they were all going to Martin's villa— the house of a well-known person who was based in the countryside. Cayden, the only son of Martin's, was in a dream when he noticed that the hoodlums who had hijacked the already tense situation to terrorize the inhabitants of the city were infiltrating moving from Robert and Deva Martin's apartment down to Cayden's own. “Ahh!... Cayden cried out again. But this time he had significant head pain. “....oh! my head What's happening to me!, what's this noise I'm hearing inside my head? oh!” he kept on asking himself, with his hands on his head and his eyes shut. He was still sleeping but woke up suddenly. Unexpectedly after the nightmare he just had, he stood up slowly, and changed positions, to the side of the mattress, he lifted off his shirt, to bring better-relaxed conditions to his body. Subsequently, the twilight in the sky departed. The entire moonlight shines dazzlingly in the sky, shining some of its light rays on Cayden through his compartment window, resulting in him experiencing suffering and discomfort in his body. He couldn't carry what he was suffering anymore. In quickness, without any reluctance, he got up, the works slightly owly to the entrance of his room, and settles his hand on the doorknob and was about to twist the door open when, all of an unexpected, his parents, badge into the room slamming the door against the wall, their backs were placed on it. Cayden stood shocked and dumbfounded. All at the same time, however, he didn't have an explanation about what was transpiring. Extremely, he inquired about his parents. “what's happened?! Mum, dad say something!” “shh!” Cayden's Mum settles upright fingertips to her lips, implying his silence. “Listen closely, I can hear footsteps and it appears to be coming!” she expanded, glancing at him with a significant look. “Mum, dad, you guys are freaking me out! Please, tell me if it's a prank, you both got me all right, you got me!”, he said. “We aren't exploiting you, son. Something is transpiring right now; the dogs are lifeless, and they begin to hear their names around the building!” “Wait!, dad! our names? geez, can somebody tell me what the f***k is going on here?!” His parents didn't mumble a word to him. Anonymous to them, the mob had already gained entrance to the house, shifting aggressively with placards in their hands. They began unlocking the doors looking for Mr. Martin's household, shouting their names. Several of the placards read consequently, 'THE MARTIN'S, ARE BEHIND THE KILLINGS.' “There is simply one thing we can perform in this kind of situation” “What do you have in mind dad? We don't have time. I can hear them coming” quickly came the reply from Cayden. “Cayden, pick up the phone and contact the authority emergency hotline” “Yes, Dad, right away”, he answered back. Thereupon a short while, the moonlight completely brightened the entire town, involving Cayden's compartment. As he was almost making a call to the authorities immediately he began to cry out for the third time. “Ohh!, my head. I can't put up with this anymore!” Directly he tossed his phone to the floor, and walked handily across the room, distributing his flowers, and mattress duvet, followed by some other commodities thrown to the floor. His attitude came to be extremely forceful, terrifying his parents. With absolute anxiety, his parents could not take his contentious attitude anymore. “What is wrong with you, Cayden!” he was asked by the parents, overwhelmed at the destruction he had performed in the room. With-it a short time, without any probabilities. There was a huge thrust on Cayden's door. Somebody was attempting to get inside their room repeatedly. An anonymous voice from behind the door said, “Just unlock the door, we are not here to harm you. We have some issues, and they require some explanations, so kindly, please cooperate with us” At that exact instant, Cayden's actions became relatively unusual to his parents. He put up with a slow walk across the compartment without his T-shirt and held his window's wooden frame. He glanced upright into the moonlight, misplaced in his impressions. A feeling in his body was becoming powerful to the level that it could not be regulated by him. His parents were frightened and could not comprehend what was arising at that period. Cayden's mum, curiously, needed to understand what was happening to Cayden. She vacated the spot where she was standing and went to Cayden and held his hand. “Cayden, talk to me. What's wrong? What?” she asked, frightened. “Get off me mum, please go away!” he answered back in a deeper voice, “Go away from me immediately, Go!” he pushed his mum to the floor. His hands were around his head, as he cried out in distress. He looked at the ceiling shouting at the height of his voice. The moon started influencing his human behavior, he was scared out again and again, and then his body started shapeshifting into a hideous freak; two pointed canine teeth instantly thrived out of his gum. claws appeared out of his fingers. And his body directly swelled two times its size, furry heirs scrambled out of his sideburns making him look like a grizzly bear. However, his eyes became yellowish and he came to be a man in wolf's clothing. His breathing became deep— like a hungry lion trying to kill its prey. The body conversion was finished. “You're a monster!” Those were just the only words his mom could invoke in anxiety. Cayden swiveled to glance at his mom,—who he wrongly pushed to the floor. And now his appearance existed like a creature breathing in a heavy manner pausing to dedicate anything that appears on his path. “Mum, please give me your hand and I'll explain everything, I'm not a freak”, said Cayden. He extends his hand towing directly into her eyes. “Please don't harm me!” She was truly scared and at the same time had the anxiety of losing her life. He stood in front of his mom but could recognize the tension in his dad and mum's eyes but nothing could be done. He blows his head in guilt and sadness. His dad saw it as a chance to save his partner. “Get away from my wife. you beast!” He warned Cayden. The stigma of the rejection from both of his parents was extremely difficult for him to believe or accept. And the shoving on the door was becoming audible and serious. He thought to himself inwardly, 'My heartbeats came rapidly. And I was confused. I glance around the room. But I didn't know what to do, I was left with only one choice, and had to do it fast. Instantly, I took my T-shirt, which was on top of his bed, and ran through the window. Bashing the glasses into minor pieces. With guilt and despair, I fled into the dark cover of the night.' Shortly after he left the room, through the window, the entrance door to his room was forcefully shoved open by the furious mob; who was in the house earlier in search of the Martins family. “What happened here?” One of the anonymous protesters inquired from Cayden's parents, but there wasn't any answer from both of them. Cayden walked through the town of Los Wellington talking inwardly to himself as he went by the streetlights, '...I thought this was the beginning of the nonexistence of species like me! But frankly, I thought I could protect my personality from the world. Yet I was wrong with my teeth. I couldn't make up for what was about to happen in that darkness. Perhaps my parents despise me. Going by the stars on their faces; it was the stare of disappointment. I attempted to put up with the course, I did some research and read a lot of books, but to my tremendous surprise, there wasn't any remedy. I had to leave with my course.' As he lamented to himself, he ran along the lonely street, in his wolf form. Thoughts from all corners hurrying through his mind, he ran until he was accidentally knocked down by a vehicle, moving at a high level of speed. Cayden immediately fell to the floor with blood stains all over his body.
