Chapter 23

745 Words
Kyle's POV. I am so proud of Natasha. She woke up and she looked like so on edge that I worried. But I tried to get her attention to something else and miracle! It worked.  Jade told me how much Natasha loves ice cream and it was obvious to get her some. I already know about her coffee addiction, but I consider myself an addict too. Coffee not just tastes good but creates awesome talks between people. I love stories that are born next to two mugs of coffee. I could find out about the ice cream cause Natasha always drinks her coffee cold. Just another strange habit. So, I brought her ice coffee too.  And to have something to read..I found a book on her nightstand at home, that she is currently reading. She's not the magazine type girl. Or at least not the typical magazine gossip type of girl. We only read national geographic at home and there is also a kind of psychological magazine that Natasha reads regularly but I know that she is up to date with that, so I brought in this book. She is so happy that I thought of everything that she wanted right now. I must mention that Jade helped as well. But I am really happy that she can relax a little. She needs it a lot after what that nurse did to her. We were talking about our trip to Scotland and work a lot. I have chosen Scotland because of her. But as I looked into that myself as well, it's not hard to fell in love with that country at first sight. So, I did it too. I am looking forward to working together with Natasha again. And we need to travel away. For various reasons. I want this project, but I want Natasha to get better. And she needs time away. I don't care at all how I will manage work. A week is nothing in this state. This 3 week is the minimum for at least a bit of stability for her to reach. We can't just go back to our regular lives. And not to mention that she is in danger. I don't want to be here with her while they are following us and waiting at the street for her to be alone. I need to get her to somewhere safe. And if I have to go to the other side of the Earth, I will. To keep her safe and help her build herself back again. As we were talking, she started to get tired and predictably she fell asleep in 10 minutes. But when he fell asleep, my phone rang. It was the police. Of course. They want to meet. I told them not now, but they said they must talk to me about the letters I forwarded them. I need to arrange something. Jake just got out for a lunch break. But I just can't leave Natasha alone. So, I quickly dial Jake who says that he can be here in 20 minutes. s**t. There is an officer waiting outside. They could send someone but not to protect Natasha. Awesome. The officer tries to calm me that it's a secured private area of a hospital, Natasha won't get hurt in 20 minutes just inform a nurse to pay attention to her. I do as he told me, annoyed but he said it's urgent. I know that I shouldn't leave her alone, but I am hoping that nothing will happen, she just fell asleep. I was furious when leaving the police station. I was ordered here to ask the exact things that I already answered. They are afraid now after seeing those letters and detailed descriptions about both of our days nearly minute by minute. They want to ask for suspects. Which I already f*****g told them. I quickly tell it to them again and leave telling them that they rushed me in for nothing while leaving alone Natasha when she is also threatened. When I arrive at the hospital after 30 minutes, I can't see Jake anywhere. I start to get really worried. Doctors were rushing to somewhere when I just realised that it's Natasha's room they are rushing in. I try to go into her room, but they can't let me in. All I can see that there is blood on her blanket. And the blood is coming from her wrist. No. Please God. No.
