CORRIGAN
We both disassembled at the loud voice of Lucien. I must have been so indulged in my emotions that I didn't even realize that he was there all along and the last thing I wanted was getting Cormac into trouble.
He walked towards us, his steps depicting anger with each movement. I could tell that he was going to explode any moment from that time.
“Um…I was just protecting her from the cold. It's really cold out here and I offered her my jacket to help her stay warm,” Cormac explained.
The look on Lucien's face made it easy to know that he wasn't buying that even though that's the truth. He didn't say anything, slowly lifting his eyelids to look up at us.
He took a deep breath and replied saying,” Just get the car ready. We're leaving anyway.”
