Corrigan’s POV Three years earlier I lay on a sofa in the library, hidden behind the shelves, and reading the same line of Anna Karenina again and again, too excited to go further. I was curled up on the sofa, watching the last rays of the afternoon sun drifting in through the window. Excitedly, I brushed my fingers against the ring on my neck and a giggle escaped my lips.
