CORRIGAN'S POV It was another day of looking out the window to the packed gate, in eager wait for Lucien's return. My greatest fear was that Lucien was not a man to quit, he didn't know when to quit. He was in a struggle to prove himself, and his ego got the best of him every time. I sat for a while by the side of the bed, not relenting in wait or prayers for their safe and victorious return. “Corrigan,” I heard Kate knocking on the door from a distance.
