.....(some more years later when veer was 16 years old and Anu 14 years old)...
It was the time during the auspicious festival which was whole heartedly celebrated by all people in Kolkata Durga puja. Whole locality was decorated beautifully . Every corner there was lighting. All were busy doing their respective task. There was hustle -bustle around. The responsibility of decorations was handled by the teenagers of the locality.
All the boys and girls were decorating and chit-chatting outside and Veer and Anu they were inside the pandal seeing the arrangements. Though Veer was going through the preparations but Anu was constantly gazing at him. She was amazed at the fact how perfectly Veer is handling all the work there. Feeling her gaze on him , he lifted his face to her but she was quick to avert her gaze. Veer smiled at this and started looking at the list in his hand.
Actually , last night there was challenge between them about who had the courage to kiss the other in front of everyone. So she was wrecking her brain with ideas but didn’t come with one.
Suddenly an idea popped in anu's mind she walked towards veer in tip-toe and without his knowledge she gave a peck on his cheeks and ran away from there leaving a shocking veer behind.
Veer was too shocked to utter a single word. But soon composed himself, cleared his throat and looked around to see if there was any witness to the stunt pulled out by Anu. When he was satisfied that everyone was too busy to notice this daring act of Anu, he smiled devilishly of the plan already brewing in his head.
After checking the arrangements inside the pandal , he came and joined his group.
Every one along with Veer and Anu gathered near the stairs of one of the building discussing about the decorations when out of no where veer called Anu since he had something important to tell Anu.
" Anu listen i have to tell you something important about the decorations you had forgotten to add. " said veer casually.
Anu facial expression changed when she heard that she had forgotten something about the decorations. Unknown to her , Veer was enjoying her state of tense. She went to Veer and asked about that.
All other friends were discussing about other things so they took least interest in their conversations.
Veer sensing that Anu not being close enough his plan will fail , said her to come closer otherwise if her friends heard they will laugh at her.
Anu being cautious to know whats the matter he was talking about brought her ears near him by going close.
Then suddenly within a heartbeat without anybody's notice veer kissed Anu near her lips . It was actually not a kiss at all, veer just placed his lips near her lips. Just a simple touch which made her heart flutter with utter happiness and erupting a lot of butterflies in Anu's stomach.
Anu after this little incident is unable to talk let alone move. She just freezed in one position but her eye were in every direction to see if they were caught or not.
Seeing her reaction veer just smirked and latter patted her cheeks to bring back to reality. Anu blushed profusely knowing that Veer actually had his own way of completing everything be it a task or a challenge.
Though they both won the challenge but their hearts loose to each other. There was a beautiful knowing smile on their face whole day.
later that day at evening....
Anu was busy with her cousins, siblings and friends playing in the pandal. Some times glancing over veer to have a look.
All their families and relatives were busy in their own world and they busy in their own.
Later at night all the families along with Anu and Veer went for pandal hopping and had dinner outside.
After reaching home around 2:00 am they were exhausted so they slept with a peaceful smile on their faces.
