Time passed relatively quickly leading up to the evening’s séance. When Celia announced that they were going to spend the night with Dora, Jennifer in particular seemed very excited, running up to the housekeeper and wrapping her little arms around the woman’s waist, before squeezing her for all she was worth.
Mitzi, on the other hand, was somewhat more reserved in her reaction. She was old enough to realise that there must be some kind of hidden agenda behind their being shipped off with a relative stranger, even if only for one night.
