The moment she fell, the world tilted. I wouldn't be lying when I said she was the only one I'd been paying attention to. I had no idea why the other girls looked like they'd seen ghosts, or worse in their dictionaries, gods forbid, an imperfect version of themselves.
A small sense of anxiety had washed over me the moment the council had announced the trial today, but judging from the fact that I was the one who'd made them come up with a trial so fast, I didn't think it was right to interfere. That, and the fact that a part of me actually believed that Kali could overcome whatever was thrown her way.
