Kali's POV
The high hadn’t even fully ebbed when it hit me. I wasn't sure which was worse, the fact that I realized the feeling immediately, or the fact that the said realization just had to come after the deed had been done. I pressed my eyes shut for a quick moment, but nothing, nothing seemed to be able to wipe the smear that had been plastered across my body, whether I could see it or not.
It was guilt, f*****g guilt, sharp, merciless guilt, crashing over me like cold water poured straight down my spine. Like that wasn't enough of a wake up call, my body just had to show me signs of it's own. My lungs seized as though my body couldn’t decide if it wanted more of him or if it wanted to scream at me to run.
Gods. What the hell had I just let him do to me?
