I knew life had a funny way of humbling people, what I didn't know was that most times, life didn't humble you just once. Life could do it over and over again and there wasn't a thing you would be able to do about it. Not one thing.
I honestly thought the worst part of my day was the council's announcement and me not having an instructor, but life literally said to me; hold my cup. Now, not only did I not have an instructor, Diego was offering to teach me.
No, scratch that. He wasn't just offering, he was insisting.
I'd blinked back into perfect shock the moment the words had slid past his lips. In fact, I wasn't sure I'd moved in the entire time he said that, and by the time I'd come around, just barely though, Diego didn't have caged to the wall again.
