The morning came too soon, and I'd never wished I could control nighttime more than I did now. Perhaps, if the goddess had granted me the pose to extend the night, even if it was for a little while, I would have stopped the sun from rising so early, or at all even.
Don't get me wrong, I had nothing against the sunrise and the sunlight pooling into my room through my windows. The only issue here, was that the said morning, came with whispers.
Whispers that I was yet to put on a tough skin for. I told myself I could handle it, that I could easily tune them out and ignore them, but all of that and more disappeared from the back of my mind the moment I was dressed and ready for the day.
