Kali's POV. The forest was too quiet after that, and it felt wrong for all reasons too. It wasn't the peaceful kind of quiet or the kind that meant rest or safety, no. Not one bit. This was the kind that watched, that listened, like it was waiting for the right moment to spread doom.
