Chapter 4-Announcement

"Welcome all!", said a booming voice. We looked to the large stair case that cascaded in three directions. It was Alpha Kai and he seemed excited. 

"As you all know that my son, Victor will soon be taking over, as I will be retiring. Although I will be on the council and be an advisor to my son, I am proud to unofficially hand over the official title of Alpha of the Blue Crescent Pack of Jackson Hole". 

Every being that was in the vicinity cheered and clapped, even Dany and Greg were hollering. I didn't know they were hard fans of the Alpha.

Alpha Kai continued, "Now, I would like to invite Lord Alastair up here with me, where is he?". Alpha Kai looking around, Alastair walked up beside him. "Alpha Kai, a pleasure". He bowed, Kai returned the gesture. 

"Tonight we celebrate almost 150 years of integration with both, Wolves and Vampires. As it it a tradition among our Pack to have the head of the Couxvon Brood to witness the transition to our new leader". Kai said happily, he shook and hugged Alastair, as did he in return. Kai gestured Alastair to say a few words which he proceeded. 

"Thank you Alpha Kai. I would like to say that it is with great honor that our two clans have come together and been such a solid and united front all of these years. As our relationships have been passed from your father the late great Alpha Kane, to you for all of these years, we have a very high expectation of young Victor to which we all have no doubt that he will fulfill, thank you". With that he smiled and moved along. 

Kai clapped his hands and looked over to his son, Victor. "Now with no further a  do, my son, your new Alpha Victor Valensa!". All of the unmated and mated wolves cheered, whistled and some fainted. I never saw the reason to. I had never really seen Victor but by the description that Dany gives me, he's quite handsome. 

I looked over at Dany, she was cheering more than she should, it made me chuckled, I looked over at Greg who was on the other side of her, his arms were folded, no doubt he was jealous. 

I turned to look back at the Alpha, but before I could tell where he was, I smelt something most delicious. it was thyme mixed with fresh squeezed lemon. I looked around but I couldn't fine where the smell was coming from. My inner wolf whispered one word, "mate". 

I walked through the crowd to see where the scent was coming from I heard the Alpha once more. "Welcome Victor". 

"Thank you father, it is with great honor that I take up this high position and take care of our Pack. I've learned so much from you as well as other members of the Pack. I look forward to officially be the Alpha". And with that he left. 

"Ah I guess it's time to get back to the party, thank you all for coming out now enjoy food and plenty of drink and good company!" Kai left to his Luna. 

I gave up so I decided to just get another drink, I walked to large opened doors and just looked outside. "I can not believe my night", I say to my self. Then out of no where, thyme and lemon, I felt someone standing close behind me. I turned to look, it was Victor, I moved back. 

"Mate", I said to her. I had never seen such a beautiful creature, smooth skin that reminded me of milk chocolate and the blackest curly hair, she was a alot shorter than but I liked that. I walked over to her but she took a step back. 

"Alpha Victor", she said and bowed. I walked closer and lifted her head up with my hand. She looked up and with out warning, I kissed her. My heart was racing and I knew she felt electricity too. 

I  was shocked that he kissed me, I moved away. "Alpha", I began. "Please, you don't need to be formal with me, I am your mate. Call me Victor. And what is your name pray tell?." "Maybelle". 

"What a pretty name, for a beautiful girl". I blushed. He smiled and moved closer in, I moved his body closer to mine, he was very tall, I had no idea. He reached my jaw with his hand and just looked at me, I couldn't figure out what he was looking for but before I could guess he spoke. "You're only mine". His lips moved to mine again, they were warm to the touch. I grabbed his dark black hair in both of my hands, our mate bond was strong, I could feel the pull in every part of my body. I was shocked when his hands moved to my waist and pulled me closer, making me gasp. Then moving both his hands down, he picked me up. I was shocked, a tingle shot up my spine. He took me to the wall, continuing our tongue battle. The champagne pourers left the room to give us privacy. 

I had to breath, I pushed Victor away, "Victor". "Yes, my love", he said smiling. "I have to tell you that I am only an omega, I work at the Pack hospital, I am a nurse". "None of that matters, your stature anything, you are mine forever". He leaned in to kiss once more, I moved away, he pulled a confused look. "I am also having dinner with Lord Alastair tomorrow night". His face was definitely was not happy. He put me down. 

"And why would you be having dinner with him?, do you know him". I looked up at his most handsome face and got distracted. "Maybelle?", Victor said with authority. "Ah no I don't know him, I only met him tonight actually. He insisted so I mustn't cancel", I said, unsure of how Victor would react, he looked as though he was thinking then spoke. "Then I shall join you, my mate will not be unaccompanied".  He smiled and kissed me again. For some reason I thought it was not a good idea, especially since they were in each others arms earlier that night.
