The Luna

Chapter 5-The Dinner

As I looked in my mirror, I thought I looked pretty, I borrowed a deep red strapped, floor length dress from Dany. I have to say, she had great taste. I picked up my brush, it was my mothers, I fixed my hair, a side part with my curls out. I placed some rouge on my cheeks, just a light dusting then I was done. 

*Knock knock*

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I walked over to my front door and opened it. "Maybelle, you look beautiful", Victor was standing in my door way, wearing all black with his hair slicked back. He was tall, fair skinned, with light green eyes. I smiled, I felt the mate bond pulling me to be close to him but I had to control myself. 

"We should leave", I say and smile, I take his hand and we begin our walk. Alastair's manor was not that far away, we decided to walk there, we were already early. 

Ten minutes later and we arrived at our destination. It was a huge as the Alpha Pack house. I looked at the tall building, I was amazed, I couldn't believe that I had never noticed this place before. There were not a lot of established houses or Manors here so it wasn't that hard to spot. 

We walked up the short stairs, there was two men standing out the front, no doubt guards. "Alpha Victor and future Luna Maybelle", Victor said. They two men bowed and opened the huge doors. we were greeted by a tall women, she was beautiful. " Hello, I am Vivien, welcome Alpha and Luna, Lord Alastair will be with you in a moment. May I offer you something to drink?". I shook my head and smiled. "I'll have something a little strong", said victor. 

"As you wish, please follow me to the lounge area", Vivien said. She began to walk through an archway, the whole interior was just beautiful. Vivien gestured towards a large lounge that was all black. I smiled and sat, in the middle of the lounge area was a huge brick fire place that had intricate designs on them. The fires was warm. As we heard footsteps falling away, we heard a replacement of heavier. 

I look up to see Alastair, his hair parted to the side and his ice blue eyes move over me. I feel his gaze moving all over my body, I blush. Victor stands and moves to greet Alastair. "Alpha, I had no idea that you were be joining our private dinner", Alastair said while looking at me. I stood, "Forgive me, Lord Alastair, I should have mentioned it yesterday."

He nods his head, " Well then, let us go to the dinning hall shall we". We all moved to follow him. 

"I hope that my slight intrusion does not throw you off too much, Lord", Victor says. "Of course not, Alpha". 

Alastair gestures to two seats. Victor seats himself on the opposite side of me. and Alastair ways to the left of me. To say that I was nervous of this very peculiar event was a definite understatement. 

I looked towards Alastair, he was already staring at me, I had no words. 

"So Alastair, what is your business with my Luna." Victor stated, the air was too thick for me, I just felt so embarrassed. 

"Well I", Alastair began to say before he was interrupted by Vivien. "Lord Alastair, please forgive my intrusion but I have a Beta Joseph here for Alpha Victor". Joseph moved from behind, he was a looker as well, a little shorter than Victor but I felt he could hold his own. "Alpha, we have some unexpected visitors from a neighboring Pack, they  bring urgent new and ask for you presence". He bowed, Victor nodded to him and Joseph walked out of the room, to wait by the front door I assumed. 

"Unfortunately, duties call and I must take my leave at once. Alastair, would you be so kind as to have an escort for Maybelle when she is ready to leave?." Victor said to Alastair. 

"Of course Alpha". With that response, Victor got up from his seat and walked towards me, he kissed my hand and smiled. And with that he left the Manor. 

"Why does the Alpha seem to think you two are mates", said Victor. I look at him, surprised that the question. "Uh we discovered that we are mates, yesterday after Alpha Kai handed over to Victor". Alastair looked at me, "I suppose that changes things a little". 

"What do you mean". I had no idea what he was talking about. He took a sip of his drink, taking his time then stood up, he reached out his hand to me. "Oh, yes", I say and take his hand and stand.  We walked over to the fireplace in the lounge area, Alastair spoke, "Dance with me", "There is no music", I say. 

He placed his left hand on my waist and pulled me in, and took my hand. I should have felt like we should not be like this and I did but there was a pull and I could not deny it. We swayed back and forth, we looked deeply into each others eyes, "Why did you invite me here tonight, I am nothing special". He leans down to kiss me but stops before replying, "Because I feel something when you are near me, and I have not felt anything in a long time, I have to have you". He continued through with his lips on mine, I lifted my hand up to his face. I could not control what was beginning to happen. 

With the fire blazing, I felt hot, I needed to cool down. I moved closer to him, our lips intertwined more. I pulled away, he looked confused. "We will be seen and I have a mate". I stepped back. He spoke, "Have you mated with him, have you accepted him as your mate?". I turn to the fire, "No but I suspect that we will in the following nights to come. 

Alastair turned me around, " Don't say that, you are destined to be with me and we will not be bothered", he says to me, with what looked like anger in his face. My mind wondered, he was gorgeous, I just wanted his body all over me, I had never really thought of anyone sexually, but I wouldn't help it tonight, I needed him in side of me.
