Chapter 1: Daylight Robber
Useless! Very useless
An angry shout could be heard, accompanied by flurried steps on the greenstone pavement.
Reyna Vox placed both her hands on her waist helplessly and said I'm not useless, I'm better than you all…only you don't know it! Besides, do you have to add the veryto my useless title? You make it sound like I'm completely hopeless…
Scoffing in the direction he went, all the boldness from a few minutes ago completely disappeared and worry began to fill her eyes.
Reyna was not someone from this world, she had transversed. She was just an ordinary werewolf, all she could remember was surrounded by burning trees and flames and then… there was no then. When she woke up once more, she was already in this world.
This world was just like her previous. Where martial arts formed the foundation of the world and the strong reigned supreme!
She thought that as she transversed to another world, the heaven's would have pity on her and probably make her a Luna, rejected by her Alpha. After which she would rise to the top, strike back at the fools, slapping them in the face, and her life would proceed smoothly from then on… But it seems she was overthinking it! It didn't take long for her to realize that she wasn't an Alpha female or any wolf royalty at all, she was… still an ordinary werewolf in this life!
The most laughable one in the entire world!
Other werewolves in her pack had at least earned themselves a little respect, or status or something but she? She didn't earn anything. Not a single person in her pack respected her, in fact she was a scorn, an object of mockery.
As for the reason why… Aside from the fact that the lady whose body she had taken over was the weakest in the pack, and that she was not even a warrior of the clan, the crux of the problem was that… she was yet to wolf out! Or rather say she didn't have a single trace of the wolf line in her!
It was just like carrying an infectious disease.
The ostracism was obvious, she was a Hollowblood! She couldn't even get close to members of the pack without being ridiculed. Being a Hollowblood in a clan was as good as being a human among wolves, and she was treated as such.
***
Tired of everything, she left the clan hoping to secure a good teaching job at the grand academy in Oraxis City, in hopes of earning some self respect and worth as a teacher. She got the job, began working and finally felt like her life was on a good track but alas, her joy was short-lived.
Due to her being a Hollowblood, she was already far behind others in terms of strength and power. And in a world where strength mattered most, that was hell. Her limited abilities resulted in her scoring a zero in the TeachersGrading Examination, the first ever time such score was recorded in the school's history. Who would have thought the test would be that difficult?
Depressed, the owner of this body drowned her sorrows through alcohol. In the end, just as she wished, she died, thereby providing an opportunity for Reyna to leap over to this world.
At the start of the new semester, the academy issued an ultimatum to her. If she was unable to admit a single student at the end of the new semester, her qualifications as a teacher will be revoked!
Today, there were seventeen new students who passed by her classroom… but would anyone want to be taught by a teacher who scored zero in the Grading Examination cm?!
As soon as they heard her name, they ran as fast as their legs could carry them. As though young ladies running from a p*****t senior uncle.
I must coax at least one of them into my lectures!
Just as she was scheming a ploy to rope someone into her lecture, she saw a boy with a slightly dazed standing at the entrance.
May I know if this is Teacher Kaela Thornes classroom?
He had a cute baby-like appearance that made you want to rub his head. His voice was somewhat feminine for a man but very pleasant to the ears.
Kaela Thorne was the star teacher of the academy. Her lectures were always packed, and she was the reason innumerable students chose to attend this academy.
He'll do just fine!, seeing someone walking straight into her trap, Reyna's eyes lit up.
All kinds of acting cooltechniques she learned from her past life raced through her head. Eventually she decided to sit quietly in her chair, bringing out this sophisticated and mysterious disposition like a quiet, enlightened elder. You wish to become her student?
The young man nodded vigorously as his light brown eyes gleamed with admiration, I heard she's the most incredible teacher in this academy, and that all the students she taught have achieved extraordinary accomplishments. Just joining her free class could be considered an honor in itself!
Stories might not be as true as they sound. Teachers are like shoes; it depends on whether they fit or not. No matter how good she teaches, if the theories she proposed are not compatible with your cultivation techniques and your bloodline, not only will you find it harder to progress to higher realms, your cultivation might even regress! But even if a teacher isn't well known, as long as his theories complement your skills, youll improve swiftly and your cultivation will rise steadily!
Is that so… I've also heard my elder sister saying similar words before! The young man pondered for a moment as uncertainty flashed across his eyes. However, I don't know what kind of lectures would suit me!
Seeing the young man biting into the hook, Reynas eyes lit up. Wise quotes from men like Marcus Aurelius and Confucius flashed across her mind as she carefully sieved her next words. Feigning a look of difficulty, I think fate played a part in bringing us together. I am also a teacher in this school. How about I check your bones, talent and cultivation, then do a little analysis and recommend a suitable teacher for you?.
Teacher! Thank you so much!. He didn't expect a teacher he just met by chance to be so accommodating, he nodded excitingly.
Show me your cultivation.Reyna crossed her legs, her eyes half open with a lazy look on her face, as though everything was a walk in the park for her.
Yes!
Huuuuuuuuuu!
A gust of wind blew across the room as the young boy threw his fists in a particular rhythm.
Spiritual energy from the surroundings gathered around him, as the phantom of a wolf appeared beside him.
Judging from how his spiritual energy did not dissipate when he finished the punching and the faint but powerful aura around him, he clearly had a solid foundation in his cultivation.
Alright, I can tell you've been training diligently. Your foundation is solid and your talent top-notch. You're a hard-to-come-by genius!. After the other party finished a punching routine, Reyna nodded in satisfaction and casually gave her analysis.
She was imitating the fortune-tellers from the world she came from, using slippery words that have a wide range of interpretation. Through this, it would be difficult for those listening to find
a flaw, instead they'll be fascinated by how accurate her evaluation was.
