Mates?

Larissas POV*

I can hear soft breathing, I slowly open my eyes. Its still dark. I smile as i listen to the rhythm of Daniels breathing. I slowly raise myself up so I can see over Daniel and glance at the clock. 4:12 am, its our birthday. Panic slowly creeps in. "Lilah can you feel Daniels wolf, why dont I feel any different, this can't be happening". I wait for her response.  "Im sorry Larissa, I dont sense anything". No no no Daniel is my mate he has to be my mate." Wait Larissa, do you smell that"? My wolf asks, I can feel her excitement. I calm myself and inhale. "Yes Lilah I smell him he smells amazing, like forest mixed with rain"! I knew it I knew he was our mate! I cant contain my excitement I sit up, "Daniel baby, your my mate" I whisper. He raises his hand to my neck, and pulls me close. He buries his face in the crook of my neck and inhales deeply taking in my sent. I almost scream at how fast he sits up a look of panic on his face. "Daniel whats wrong"?  Suddenly his bedroom door flies open and im hit with a heavy scent of forest and rain im lost in a trance... at the exact same time I hear Lilah and Matt say...MATE! 

"What no this can't be right, I thought I was smelling Daniel! Im sure it was him this can't be right" i cry to Lilah. " Go to him Larissa he is our true mate" her excitement and need to be near his wolf is starting to overpower me. Matt damn near runs to the bed and in a flash he lifts me up into his arms."Im sorry brother" is all he says before turning towards the door. Im completely frozen, as much as I want to escape Matts arms my body and my wolf won't let me. The way his hands feel against my skin is like fire and ice shooting through me. I turn to look at Daniel alone sitting up in his bed a look of utter defeat on his face "we will figure this out i promise" i mind link him before Lilah closes our link. When we get to Matts room he gently sets me down but his hands linger on my waist. I suddenly realize im only wearing my grey lace underwear and a pink lace sports bra.Ive never been this under dressed around him ive only ever been comfortable enough around Daniel. He raises his hand under my chin and lifts my face until we are staring into each others eyes. "Im sorry Larissa but you have to let him go, his mate is out there and I need you to be my Luna. I need you to accept me, accept me and I can take your pain away". My eyes fill with tears. He sighs and rests his forehead on mine. " You need to accept him damnit! He is our f*****g mate, I wont let you reject him Larissa...I wont let you" Larissa growls at me.I feel myself start to lose control, Lilah is taking over. " Lilah stop" i yell at her. " Im sorry Larissa but I wont let you reject our mate" and with that she takes full control. I wrap my arms around Matts neck and close the distance between us. My lips crash into his,immediate sparks soar through my body.I kiss him with so much want and need. For a second he is surprised but he quickly responds to my kiss, he lifts me off the ground and i immediately wrap my legs around his waist. So much pleasure and intensity is flowing through me. His hands squeeze my ass and i let out a deep moan. His toung licks my lips begging for permission, I open and in no time our tounges are dancing around exploring each other. He tastes so good. We collapse on the bed and break apart for a much needed breath. He begins placing hot kisses down the side of my neck then on my collar bone. His canines scrape my skin and suddenly I am flooded with memories of Daniel, how he said he was going to mark me on our 18th birthday and claim me as his. I force myself to gain control back feom my wolf. I push Matt off and jump off the bed. "Im sorry Matt, I cant accept you until I speak with Daniel, We have to make things right before I move any further please". I know i hurt him I can feel his pain. But he agrees. I turn around and walk out the door. My heart breaks, im flooded with pain and guilt. I walk to my room and close the door behind me. I crawl into bed and cry myself to sleep. " How can i make things right? Either way someone gets hurt".
