Betrayal

" Let me start by saying this, I havnt always been a Rogue." Logan reveals. " 12 years ago I belonged to the Blue Mountain pack". "Ive never heard of that pack" i tell him. " Thats because it no longer exists. You see I became Alpha of my previous pack at 16. My father became extremely ill and passed leaving me with the task of running a pack. I was not ready to lead but I didnt have a choice. Our pack became weak and vulnerable". " I dont understand what does your old pack have to do with me, why am I being punished? 12 years ago I was only 6 years years old"! I snap visibly irritated. " Interrupt me again and you can kiss this bedtime story goodbye" he snaps back. He takes a deep breath and continues. " I knew my pack was crumbling, and I began to reach out to stronger packs trying to stike a treaty with a more powerful Alpha. Alpha Cyrus of the Black water tribe agreed to a meeting. When I showed up he laughed. I guess he wasnt expecting a child Alpha. He blew off our meeting and refused to negotiate with a "child". 3 days after I returned to my pack I recieved word that the White Wind pack declared war on us and demanded we surrender and join their pack...or die. I called Alpha Cyrus and did what all Alphas are to proud to do, I begged. I begged and pleaded with him to please help us, but he denied me. More then half my pack was slaughtered, some survivors joined the white wind pack, while the rest of us turned Rogue. For 12 long years I have only dreamt of seizing my revenge. I took in stragglers and misfits from all around and molded them into warriors. I formed a strong army and I became leader of the Rogues. We have tried to make several attacks on your precious pack but even I must admit your pack is well guarded. But I expected nothing less from the most powerful pack. I knew I had to be patient and just wait for the right opportunity. Then 2 days ago I recieved a message from a broken hearted soul. " Daniel" i whisper and close my eyes. " Thats right, you see broken hearts change people, makes them desperate, and Daniel was sooo desperate. So I came up with a plan so that we all get what we want. I hold you hostage, Daniel makes sure to deliver me the future Alpha of the strongest pack and once I kill him, Daniel gets you and you get back your childhood love. Once I kill Matt I will watch Alpha Cyrus suffer, I will watch as the eternal pain of loss consumes him just as it did to me. You should really thank me Larissa, now you and Daniel get a second chance" after he reveals his plan, he is feeling satisfied and stands up, he smiles and begins to whistle as he walks out the door. 'Click' 'click' 'click' I hear the doors lock. " Why Daniel, how could you do this" I cry out. I know I need to warn Matt, but im terrified for Daniel. Yes im pissed and devastated with him, but I dont want him dead. I take a deep breath...ok here we go. "Matt we need to talk, I need you to listen very close, are you alone"? I wait for him to respond. " Larissa whats wrong, your scent is getting stronger im really close Im almost there baby hold on". "Matt are you alone" i say with urgency. " I have 6 warriors with me and Daniel, but we have 200 warriors on their way and another 100 coming from the White Wind pack". "Matt listen close, Im about to tell you something very important and I need you to stay calm and focused, please promise you will listen to me" " I promise just tell me whats wrong" ...

"Daniel is working with the Rogue leader, he set all this up so the Rogues can take you out, and he can claim me as his. Logan wants to kill you so he can make your father suffer and destroy the pack, and Daniel will let it happen so he can have me." 

Matt POV*

Im left completely speechless. " could Daniel really betray us, he is my brother how could he set me up". " Im going to kill him, he stole our mate and wants to kill us" my wolf growls. " we cant kill him" I argue. " Why not, he had no problem setting up not only our death, but the death of our entire pack" I feel Aires start to take over, my brothers betrayal ignites the beast in me. " Aries stop! We cant do anything until we know our mate is safe, we get Larissa first and then we will deal with Daniel" the mention of our mate snaps him out of it." Fine but once she is safe, he is mine". "Agreed". I end our conversation and link my father. " Matt, whats going on, have you found her, is she safe, is she alive"? My fathers questions come flying at me. I fill him in on all the info I've learned. " Did she mention the name of the Rogue your brother is associating with" he asks. " Logan " I say. " Tell me your location son, im coming to meet you, im sorry but this should have been my battle" he orders me. " Her scent is close, once we find where they are holding her, I will send you our exact coordinates" I block everything ive just learned out, I try to focus on finding my Mate. We arrive at a secluded area in the forest. She is here somewhere, her scent is strong, but I can also sense her. I begin to feel her pain and worry. I order everyone to a halt. We have been joined by 200 of our best warriors, and Iris informed me her warriors are almost here. " Everyone stop here and look around, she is close. Look for any building or anything out of the ordinary." I order everyone. " Yes Alpha" they all respond. I wish I had the chance to mark her, if I had all our pack would be bonded to their Luna, everyone would be able to feel her presence, and it would have made finding her so much easier. I walk up a small trail jumping over fallen trees and and thick brush. I scan every single tree, rock and leaf. I arrive on a small hill top and look down searching with such purpose. " hey Aries, do those enormously large logs look sorta, i dont misplaced"? I ask my wolf." They do, the way they are piled on top of each other doesnt seem right". I send 2 of my warriors down to investigate. When they return they inform me my suspicions were accurate. " Alpha, behind the logs burried under some brush is a small trap door, we opened it and it leads underground."  My first reaction is to attack, I want nothing more then to run down their secret tunnel and find my mate but my fathers words come back to me. " This is not your battle Matt" agaist my wolfs wishes I stand down" I alert the warriors to form a perimeter surrounding the area but to not be seen and not to engage. Once my father arrives we attack. Its been over an hour since I sent my father our locarion. " How much longer, are you close yet" I link my father. " No more then 45 minutes away." He says. " EVERYONE PREPARE FOR BATTLE, YOU ARE TO PROTECT LARISSA AT ALL COSTS, ONCE SHE IS SAFELY OUT YOU ARE NOT TO HOLD BACK, DO NOT SHOW ANYONE WHO STANDS AGAINST US MERCY, THEY ARE SAVAGE ROGUES WHO ONLY KNOW TO KILL." I order everyone. I turn to Daniel and continue my orders" THESE ROGUES KNOW NOTHING OF LOVE, TRUST, OR FAMILY! THEY WILL NOT HESITATE TO KILL THEIR OWN BLOOD, SO KILLING YOU WILL COME EASILY TO THEM" i stay staring at Daniel for a few moments before I turn and take my position. " Daniel I want you by my side where I can krep and eye on you" ! I growl. Waiting these last few minutes for my father to arrive is torture. Im ready to fight...im ready to kill.
