Visit with the Dr

The next morning im sitting in the pack kitchen eating breakfast when Matts mother runs in and wraps me in a big bear hug. " Is it true, im going to be a grandmother"!  " Its true" i gasp as she is squeezing the air out of me. " Oh im so sorry im just so excited, when is your firat appointment"? " On Monday" I tell her. " Though I am no longer Luna I can still pick up on people's feelings, and something is telling me that you are a big ball of nerves" she says holding both my hands. " Its just that, I am so nervous, this is a really big life changing moment, I really wish my Mother was here so she could guide me and tell me what to expect, I lost my mother so young im scared I wont know how to be one myself" i confess. I can tell that my words just broke her heart, she truly hurts for me, but not out of pity out of love. " Sweetheart please listen to me...Im so so sorry that you lost your mother I cannot imagine your pain. Isay this purely out of Love...The day you became my sons mate is the day I gained a daughter. I know I am not your mother and I will not ever try and fill her shoes because a mother simply cant be replaced, but I will always always be here for you in any way you need me, I will try my best to guide you and and love you the best way a mother in law possibly can. I love you Larissa and im always here" she says with tears in her eyes. "Thank you i love you to...mom" i hug her fiercely. " Ok now you go back home and get ready" she says drying her eyes.      " Ready for what"? I ask as she is opening the door. " You guys need to announce to the pack that a future Alpha is on the way" she says. I take a quick shower brush my teeth and wrap myself in a towel before I run to my closet. " What the hell am I supposed to wear? Am I supposed to wear something fancy or casual or businesslike? I ask Lilah. " Your seriously asking a wolf for fashion advice!" She laughs at me. "Your no help" I yell at her. Casual it is. I throw on a pair of dark denim jeans, and a long sleeve dark green top that hangs off my shoulders. I pull my hair into a high ponytail and pull a couple strands out to curl them. I put a little foundation and a thin eyeliner and decide to just go for chapstick today. I grab a pair of thigh high brown boots and im off to search for Matt. I go straight for his office but its empty, " Hey baby where are you" i ask through the link. " Banquet hall training" he says. I reach the banquet hall and slip in the back quietly. I just take a seat and watch Matt lead his pack. He leads with pride and dominance, he is such a strong and strict leader. Watching him shout orders and demand better from his warriors is kinda turning me on. "Your arousal is distracting me" he says through our link. Damn mate bond I have to start remembering just how connected we are." Real smooth dumbass" Lilah pokes fun at me. "Oh shut up, you know you are just as turned on as me" i tell her. Matt tells Alex to take over for a few minutes and heads my direction. "You look gorgeous baby whats the special occasion" he asks. " well your mother said we need to announce our current situation to the pack" I say gesturing towards my stomach. " Ok give me 30 minutes" he says and gives me a quick kiss. "We are going to end training a bit early today everyone meet back here in 30 minutes for an important announcement" he says to the class. "Goodmorning eveyone, there is going to be an important announcement in 30 minutes in the banquet hall, all are required to attend" he links the rest of the pack. "Im going to grab a quick shower ill be right back" he links me. "Ill be waiting". I decide to go find Andrea. I find her in the garage taking inventory of supplies. "Hey how are you feeling today" she asks not looking up from her paper work. "Surprisingly good, I think my nerves have finally worn themselves out so now all I have are positive vibes."  " So are you excited for our little road trip" I ask "Definitely, I think we could all use a little break, and it will be nice to see White Wind territory Ive heard its magnificent this time of year" she says. "I cant wait Im going to take my camera, hopefully we capture some really good memories" i say. She finishes logging her inventory and we make our way to the banquet hall. Matt takes my hand and we head to the front of the pack. "Thank you all for attending on such short notice." He says turning to me "Go ahead baby" he tells me through the link. " I step a little forward still holding his hand. " Thank you all for coming, we have asked you here today because we have an exciting announcement." I turn to Matt with a big smile." We are happy to tell you that we are expecting" the hall is soon filled with applause and howls, people jumping up and down shouting congratulations. Matt steps up behind me and wraps his hands around my stomach causing an even louder applause. " He then motions for everyone to quiet down " We are overjoyed to share this news with you and will continue to give you updates on your future Alpha in the months to come" he says. We stand hand in hand as pack members walk up to congratulate us, im so thankful for their reaction. They give kind words of advice and well wishes. I feel so stupid for thinking they could ever be mad at me or my baby for taking the Alphas time, they are so loving and they welcome the news. 

Before I know it Monday has arrived, and im sitting in the waiting room with Matt and his parents. Cyrus hasnt stopped talking about all the things he is going to teach his grandson, he is determined its a boy. "Larissa he is ready for you" one of the pack nurses calls. Everyone stands to their feet. " Umm just Larissa for right now, once she is situated we will call in family members". The pack dr checks my height and weight, he draws blood and sticks my finger, im then escorted to a room with an ultrasound machine. " Please lay down and raise your shirt to just below your braw, ill go and get your family from the waiting room and Dr. Eli will be right in. Soon everyone is in the room and we are ready to get things started. He squirts some warm jelly on my belly(which ive noticed has started to grow, its still a small bump but is becoming more noticeable) "There's the little one" Dr. Eli says pointing at the screen. Tears form in my eyes. I look at Matt and he is looking at the screen in awe. I can feel his pride soaring. " So its definitely just one right" i say eager to know. " Yes just one" he laughs. " How far along are we" Matt asks. I love how he says 'we'. "Let me just take a few measurements and ill be able to let you know." He says he begins moving the stick thingy all around my belly taking measurements from different angles. " Hmmm thats odd" he says. "What! Whats wrong" we all demand. " "Im not quite sure, let me check a few things". My nerves start to get the best of me. "Something is wrong Lilah, whats wrong with our baby, can you feel a connection please tell me the baby is ok" i cry to her. " I feel the connection the baby is fine, i dont sense anything wrong" she says. " Then why is he acting like this, what is he checking" i  cry. " Please tell me is there something wrong" i beg him. " No dear nothing is wrong its just when I was taking measurements I thought I saw something strange so I just had to look from a different angle and my suspicions were confirmed" he points to the screen. " It seems I spoke too soon." Marie jumps up screaming for joy. There on the screen I now see two little babies. "Your a month along give or take a day. You should deliver the first week of May." He says. I stare at the monitor, tears streaming down my face, I can feel everyone staring at me. " I love them so much, they are perfect" i say. Matt leans down and kisses my forhead. " Can you tell the genders?" Cyrus asks. "Yes but its up to the parents if they wish to keep it a secret my lips are sealed." He says. Both Cyrus and Marie look at us eyes pleading. I let out a laugh," Alright tell them what their grandchildren are". He places the stick back on my stomach and begins moving around looking for a good angel. " Ok lets see looks like baby A is.....a.....Girl...and baby B is...Baby B is" he struggles to get a clear shot. " What is it damnit tell us" Cyrus screams with anticipation. " A boy, Baby B is a boy" he finally determines. Matt leans down and wraps me in a hug as best he can and begins planting kisses all over my face. Cyrus has Marie wrapped in his arms as they spin around in circles making me laugh. "Wow we have a daughter and a son" Lilah says through our link. " Yes we do and we will love and protect them" i tell her. " I love you so much Larissa, you have made me the happiest Alpha in the world, thank you for giving me this gift" Matt says in between kisses. "Well technically you put the gifts there, im just holding onto them, so I should be the one thanking you....Thank you baby. We're going to have a family"
