Andi eventually won the stuffed frog.
Not because she’d mastered the claw machine.
Because the teenage employee behind the counter finally walked over after watching her feed nearly twenty dollars into it, looked at the pitiful claw hanging uselessly over the prizes, sighed dramatically, and admitted the machine hadn’t been gripping anything properly all week.
“I knew it!” Anthony exclaimed, throwing both hands into the air. “Justice!”
The employee unlocked the machine and handed Andi the oversized green frog with an apologetic smile.
“I’m really sorry.”
Andi hugged it against her chest like she’d just been handed a championship trophy.
“Worth every dollar.”
