“Are you fine Eve? If you want you can take a day off. Our Alpha is kind enough to grant you leave if you're in need of it.” Zara told me when she saw getting ready for work.
I smiled at her weakly before replying.
“I know he might do it but I'm not sick right? I don't need any leave either. Whatever happened that was in the past, if I live in the past and don't try to move on I will be stuck here forever. I can't change what has already happened but I will be careful enough to not repeat it. I will cook after coming back.” I told her and looked at her sad face.
“Stop blaming yourself for whatever happened Zara. It wasn't your fault even, you know that.” I turned and told her softly before leaving for work.
