EVELYN'S POV
"Mate, our mate is here, human search for him." I heard a voice also talking in my head
I guess it's my wolf talking to me. I got my wolf and mate both together. Oh goddess I can't believe it, thank you so much for being so kind to me.
"Unfortunately I didn't find my mate Alpha Lucas, none of them are my mate." The Lycan king said as he faced Luna and Alpha.
A part of me felt bad because I wasn't his mate. What if I am the damsel in distress and he is the saviour from all this? What am I even thinking?
Focus on searching for the mate you have Eve not the one you suddenly dreamed of getting. He is the Hybrid Lycan king and you're just an Omega here. Don't be absurd.
"It's bad luck for all that your mate isn't from our pack king. I hope you will be able to find her soon." Alpha Lucas said
My eyes started wandering around to find my mate. I can smell his intoxicating scent which is driving me and my wolf both crazy.
"You all can go," our Alpha said and I couldn't be more happy
"What's your name wolf?" I asked my wolf when I went far from the crowd
"I have no name, human you will name me." she replied and I started thinking about a name
"What about Emily?" I asked her and she howled in happiness of getting a good name in my head
"Let's find our mate before he goes away. He must have smelled us as well and is searching for us." Emily said and I hummed
I started looking here and there for my mate. The smell is fainting slowly. What the hell? Did he leave already? Oh no I won't let him leave without meeting me.
I let Emily overpower my body and search for him. His smell is going outside of the ball room. What is he doing outside?
Emily walked out of the ball room and followed the scent which led me towards the garden area.
I saw a man standing near a tree doing something and that someone was my mate.
Emily walked towards him and said "Mate"
Hearing her voice the man turned around and as our eyes met both of our eyes became golden as a sign that we both found each other finally but my happiness didn't stay for long when I realised who it was. How is it possible? How can he be my mate?
"What is this? It's some mistake, Emily he can't be our mate. He is already mated." I told Emily as she is addressing Zach as our mate which is impossible
Claire and Zach are dating each other from their school days and fortunately they turned out to be mates when they turned 18 from that time they were together. How can he be my fated mate?
"No human, he is our mate. Mate, please respond to me." Emily said and Zach's eyes became pure black showing his wolf was in control
"Yes I'm your fated mate, my name is Zayn and this is not a misunderstanding or mistake. Claire and Cherry aren't our fated mates." He said and I looked at him with confusion
"What do you mean by that? I don't understand anything." I asked him as his words aren't making any sense to me
"My human lied to everyone that she is his mate to become the Alpha of her pack as well. Claire is aware of it and she accepted it. They both are chosen mates." Zach's wolf said and I felt my entire self shaking like a leaf
Out of everyone in this world Zach has to be her mate who is mated to someone else why Moon Goddess? What did I do to anyone to get a punishment like this?
"So now you're going to leave her right mate? You found me now. I am your fated mate and you obviously won't choose your chosen mate over me right?" Emily asked him with so much hope and I won't lie I felt myself having a tiny hope as well
What can I do? He is my mate right? I waited for my mate for so long to be disappointed at the end. I can hope that he will change can't I?
"I can't do that mate, the Alpha ceremony is coming and my human won't allow me to choose you. I can't do anything about it. I can't accept you as my mate." Zayn said and all my hopes crashed down just like that
I should have known it's coming for me. He won't choose me over her.
"You can't say that mate what will happen to me? I just took birth today. I will die if you leave me." Emily said while crying
